Tilda Does a 3 in 1

Just a quickie before I go to work. There are just too many lovely challenges to play along with! This card is based on the fab sketch at Just Magnolia this week. It has been too long since I inked up a Tilda, & far too long since I joined in tis challenge. So I just had to have a go.
Secret Crafters want to see cards using orange & one other colour. These MME Bloom & Grow papers were perfect for that. I love this colour combo.
Finally Papertake Weekly have set a challenge of using spots & stripes on your cards, so this card covers that too.

My lovely blogging pal Dena was kind enough to send me this image. A big Thank You to you Bud! I think she is adorable & probably one of my all time favourite Tildas!
Well I better go as I really should be going to work. I just wanted to share this card while I could get a better light to take a photo. Hope everyone is having a great week.
Big Hugs to You All,
Andie xx

Manga Girl does Papertake Weekly

Could not let the week go by without having a go at the fab sketch over at Papertake Weekly this week.
There is not too much to say about this card. I do wish I'd embossed the semi-circle, though it does look better IRL, as the paper I used has a lovely shimmer to it. Sorry about the photo quality, you would not believe how dull & dark it is here today!

I'm thinking of setting up a hospital for rescue cards, as I seem to be getting a lot of practice at it lately, LOL! I tried to adjust the ribbon running across this one after I stuck it down & it ended up looking all wonky & wrong. The bow is hiding a multitude of sins! It's not ideal but it's the best I could come up with!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend & has a fab week ahead.
Big Hugs to you all!

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #4 - Halloween

Do Do Do Do, Do Do Do Do... (think Twilight Zone music!). Halloween is nearly upon us & Michele has designed a fabulous series of digital images, available to download here, to use on your Spooky creations. This weeks challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is, yes you guessed it, to make a Halloween card using the fab sketch Michele has created & the colours orange & black. Find the sketch here.
I struggled with this a bit as I do not have any Halloween papers & this looks a bit stark for my taste. I made this to give to my hubbie & really love this haunted house image Michele designed. It is ideal for a slightly more adult card. I tried to make it look as if it was bathed in moonlight. (If I'm honest, that is because I have not mastered colouring with black at all!). The sentiment, & the cute little pumpkin & ghost are all Michele's designs too. I scaled the images to suit my purposes. By the way, the sentiment is available as a freebie download at Michele's shop. Check out her other goodies whilst your there!
You should pop on over to the C4E blog to see the fabulous creations of my DT colleagues. This weeks winning entry will win this fab set of digi images.

So what are you waiting for? We can't to see your fabulous creations this week. Have fun!!
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Sketch & Stash

This is my entry for this current challenge at Sketch & Stash. They have a wonderful, simple sketch to follow. I've used old & new stash on this. The new being my cute stamp from Whiff of Joy & the old being the Basic Grey Fruitcake papers. I chose the DPs to echo the bauble that little Henry Mouse is holding, but they are a bit busy! My holly & pine embellishment does not stand out as much as I had hoped.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I stayed up too late last night & after having taken the boys swimming this morning, I feel shattered. But, not to tired to craft! That's the main thing, LOL! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #3 - A bit late!

Sorry we are a day late with the Challenge this week, but rest assured it is worth the wait. The Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe this week is to use Michele's fab sketch. Check it out here. It's so versatile & adaptable, I will be using it loads! The other ingredients to the recipe this week are to include felt & a cat/cats in your creation.

This Diane Duda stamp from Sugar Nellie hadn't seen ink for quite some time & is purrfect for the job! She's coloured with distress inks. I have my wonderfully talented blogging buddy, Dena, to thank for the inspiration for this one. She ever so kindly sent me the DPs & the felt scroll I've used. Thanks Bud! The lovely Sprytebyrd also provided the Love sentiment in an Inkadinkado Hearts set, I was lucky enough to win on her blog. The flowers were mostly created with my retro punches, but the leaves came from the fabulous Bizzy Bec.

Back to the challenge this week. My fellow DT colleagues obviously had fun with this sketch too. Check out their fantastic cards here. Furthermore look at these adorable Halloween digi images. They are the prize at C4E this week. What further incentive do you need to join in the fun?!!

I look forward to seeing what you make. Thanks for looking.

Big Hugs to You All!

Last Minute Stamp with Fun

Just a quickie from me, I've had a really bad weekend & the time I've spent making this card has helped me forget my problems. I probably already missed the deadline for this challenge, but hey, I still wanted to have a go. The sketch is the fabulous layout at Stamp with Fun. I love simple sketches, & this suited me right down to the ground.
I'm back on the Distress Inks for this one, (I sound like an addict!). I love this Sugar Nellie image. If this was a girl, it could be me with my list of crafting goodies I would like for Xmas! There is not much else to say about this. The DPs are Basic Grey, Wassail. I'm not keen on the snowflakes, it was hard to make them standout, & I'm not sure the Stickles I used on them help at all.
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good weekend. Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs to You All,
Andie xx

Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenge #3

It's time to get Bizzy again. This month at Creatalicious Challenges we want to see you using all those scraps you're loathe to throw away, but never get round to using. Additionally, we would like to se you make your own flowers & include them on your marvellous creations.
My project this month has drawn much inspiration from a fantastic tutorial over at the Belles & Whistles blog, see it here. When I saw it I knew this was what I was going to make for my boys for Halloween. Check out the tutorial, it is really easy to make. I embossed the stalk for a bit of texture & used a swirl punch to make the grass/stems. Both images are digi-images I won over at Louby-Loo's Digital Delights. This little fella is Billy. I coloured him with my Promarkers. If you click on the photos, you should be able to see him better.
My flowers were made with various punches. Those on the pumpkin are highlighted with jewels. The one on the card is made with retro punches. The black petals were tightly rolled & allowed to unravel, & the centre is two thin pieces of black & patterned paper & loosely rolled & glued in place.
Hope by now you are already planning your own cards. Remember, this is a monthly challenge, so you have loads of time to get your entries in. For more inspiration, see the fabulous cards of my DT colleagues here. Plus, there are fabulous prizes, provided by the lovely Bizzy Bec herself up for grabs. Thanks for looking. Hope you are all having a good week.
Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #2

Yeah, time for another fantastic recipe challenge at Craft 4 Eternity. This week, as usual, we want you to use Michele's great sketch, but the added ingredients are to use the colours black & purple & to incorporate some kind of embossing into your layout. Don't forget there is also another fab, cardmaking goody bag, kindly provided by Michele, up for grabs too!
I have to confess, my layout did not quite go to plan. I could not get a neat scalloped effect at the corners, so I just did the top & bottom, rather than all 4 sides. Rather stupidly, I also coloured my image on a piece of paper that was too small to cut into a circle, hence the oval shape instead! You'll have to pop over to the C4E blog to see what I am talking about & while you are there check out the fabulous work of my DT colleagues. Michele has also put together a totally yummy card/scrapbooking kit for October in her store, it is so lush! See it here.
Not much to say about my image. As you can probably tell, I've been playing with my Promarkers again! I added glaze to her wand & used a glitter pen in an attempt to give it a magical fairy sparkle. You can't really see that in the photos though. I think this fairy Manga is so versatile. It's from the Christmas set at Sugar Nellie, but as you can see, it does not have to be Xmassy. Why though, I'm not using every opportunity at this stage to make Xmas cards, is beyond me, LOL!
Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks so much for visiting.
Big Hugs to you all,
Andie xx

Winter Anya 3 in 1.

Just a quickie as I should be getting ready for work & helping the boys get ready for school, but obviously blogging is far more important, LOL! This is quite a departure for me. My first card using Promarkers! I really enjoyed the challenge. My shading is not up to standard yet, but I hope to improve in time. The layout is from the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday, which fits rather well with the challenge at Passion for Promarkers, which is any choice of colour, to use 3 different shapes & to use ribbon. Finally the theme at Anyone for Anya this week is 'You are Anya'. You should chose the Anya image that best represents you. Unfortunately I do not have the Laundry stamp. I always have a tonne of ironing to do! I chose this little lady instead. I can't pretend to be this chic, but I love the winter on a nice crisp, dry winter's day & in my dreams, this would be how I would like to look.
I am really pleased with how this turned out, though as I say there is plenty of room for improvement, but it's nice to be able to use different shades I can't get with my distress inks. FYI the DPs are Penny Lane by MME & I thought the circles were reminiscent of snowflakes & quite appropriate for winter.
Well I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Xmas 2 in 1

This was supposed to be a quick card & it was until disaster struck! Everything was looking good until I tried to add some subtle twinkle to the teddies eyes with a glitter pen. Unfortunately I managed to turn them into zombies instead! Not the look I was really going for, LOL! Never one to admit defeat I refused to start again & resolved to salvage it with some 3D decoupaging. It would have been a lot quicker to start again I can tell you!! Anyway here it is finally. There is not much else to tell you about it, as I said it was supposed to be simple! Anyway, the layout is based on the fab sketch at Truly Scrumptious & it fits in with the Xmas theme at A Spoonfull of Sugar. I just had to enter there, as I so desparately want the wizard & scarecrow stamp that is one of the prizes!
I hope everyone had a good weekend & has a great week ahead. Thanks for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

New Look Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge! - #1

Hurrah it's Sunday & time for the Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge once more! This week I'm extra excited as we are launching a new format. Michele is still providing a great sketch to follow, but additionally, we want you to incorporate the recipe we will providing each week. This week the extra ingredients are
*to use a punch on your card
*add knots or bows.
Even more exciting is the fact that from now on Michele is going to be sponsoring the challenge from her own fab Crafts 4 Eternity store. Check out her wonderful products here, including some fabulously lush papers & kits. This week there is a goody bag for the winner!
This week we are easing you in gently with a simple layout, but I flipped it as I wanted my ribbon to fill some of the space next to this little cutie's head. As it turned out, this did not really happen so I added a little text to fill the void! The knot is quite obvious, though I covered it with the heart shaped button. The punch detailing is a bit more obscure. I used the Martha Stewart doily punch on the green band running across the card. I hope by now you are itching to see more. We are officially now the Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge. Go check out the wonderful work of by lovely fellow DT collegues, grab yourself a blinky & play along! Who knows what yummy stash you might win along the way!
Hope everyone out there is having a great weekend. Hope to see you at C4E!
Thanks for looking,
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Tilda & Edwin Dancing on Ice!

Just a quickie as my hubby wants his tea!! I missed the light on this photo so it looks a bit orangey, but rest assured it is pink to fit in with the gorgeous colour combo at Just Magnolia this week. This is the first time I have coloured this stamp & I just love it! The layout is from this weeks Friday Sketchers. I even managed the optional distressing theme, but then I distress the edges of all my images as it gives extra definition. Love the simplicity of the layout, & I resisted the temptation to over embellish, again because hubby's stomach is growling. Mine too, truth be told, LOL!
Hope eveyone is having a good week. Be sure to check back on Sunday for our new look to Crafts 4 Eternity challenge!
Thanks for looking,
Big Hugs,
