Passion For Promarkers - Babies!

It's Tuesday once more & this week my lovely D-Teamie, Emma, has set the  Passion For Promarkers theme. Our challenge for you this week is to create a card for

BABIES

I don't have many baby stamps, but I like this one. I guess it doesn't need to be for a baby, but that's what i've always used it for. I'm not sure, but I think it's from High Hopes. The papers are ancient, by Paper Adventures. Go me for using old stash! The embellishments are also bits & bobs I acquired when Jack was born, with the intention of scrapbooking with them. Cardmaking however, took over. I will go back to scrapbooking one day.

This week we are thrilled to be sponsored by In 2 Stamps. Our winner gets to chose 2 stamps from their fantastic collection.

I hope you'll pop on over to the PFP challenge blog to see the fabulous creations of my lovely D-Teamies.

I used the fab layout at Sketch Saturday for this card. So I would also like to enter this there.

Thanks somuch for looking. Have a great week.

Secret Crafters - Embossing!

Big WHOOP WHOOP for the weekend! Time for a new challenge at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. It's the turn of my lovely D-Teamie, Beate, to choose this week's theme & she has picked

EMBOSSING

I used one of the new Gorjuss Girl stamps for this one, together with Bo Bunny, Gabrielle papers. She's coloured with Distress Inks & I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the blue(ish) paper.

I really like this image, but to be fair, I'm not sure who I would give this card to. Sometimes it's fun to create something, just because...

My wonderful Secret Crafter D-Teamies have beem excelling themselves once more. Check out their fabulous cards here.

For now though, I hope you are having a good weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - Sporting Marvels & a DT call!

It's Friday & time for another Crafts 4 Eternity challenge. With Wimbledon in full swing, this week's theme is,

SPORTING MARVELS

I'm rooting for Andy Murray, but made a card to celebrate another fantastic British sporting champion, the youngest major winner since Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy!

I have to say, I don't know any golfers, hence this Sugar Nellie cutie has never seen ink before. The photo is dreadful, but he's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are Memory Box - Brioche. I used a MFT Die-namics die for the stars & the sentiment is from LOTV.

Now I have some sad news. Because I have an (almost) full time job, to fund my crafting passion, it always gets it the way & denies me the time I want to craft as much as I would like. So it is with a heavy heart, that I have had to step down from the C4E DT. I have to say a big Thank You to wonderful Michele who runs the C4E store & blog, for giving me what has been a fabulous opportunity & for putting up with the fact that my cards are always late! But I'm hoping some of you lovely ladies out there will answer Michele's DT call, find the details here. I can assure you she is a lovely boss to work for :~) While your there, check out the fab creations of my lovely D-Teamies.

I would also like to enter this in the current Sugar Bowl challenge, where I have used Marlene's fab sketch.

So that's all for now. Have a great weekend & thanks for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Passion For Promarkers - Parklife!

Hellooooo! It's Tuesday & time for another Passion For Promarkers challenge. This week the theme has been set by my good self & I have chosen the theme of

PARK LIFE

That is things, people or scenes you might find in a park.

This cute little LOTV image could be a scene in lots of park, if you ignore the fact the dog is actually pushing the little girl on her swing! I've made this very clean & simple, which does feel a bit strange. It looks a bit stark, but I'm just experimenting with the CAS style to see if I like it, (or am any good at it, LOL!!)

When I see other CAS cards they look so effortlessly elegant. I think it is all really a state of mind & boils down to the confidence to say less is more! I like how it turned out, but it seems so bare compared to my usual style.

It's time to pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog for further inspiration from my wonderful D-Teamies & check out their fabulous creations. We are also sponsored by Letraset themselves this week, who are offering a special prize for this week's lucky winner. So what are you waiting for. Get your thinking caps on & join us!

NEWSFLASH! This weeks winner will actually get a brand new Promarker product. A set of 20 ultra fine nib attachments that fit on the end of their existing pens! How fabulous is that?!! Follow this link for more info & stockist details.

So there you go. Thanks so much for looking!

Secret Crafters - Around the House

Good morning! I hope this post finds you all bright eyed & bushy tailed!! It's the weekend & time for you all to do a spot of housework. You think I'm joking?!! I have the pleasure of choosing this week's challenge at Secret Crafters. I want to see your creations influenced by things you find

AROUND THE HOUSE

I chose this Belles & Whistles image, which actually depicts me dealing with our laundry mountain. Look at the smile on my face as I go about my happy work...NOT!!

This little cuties is coloured with Distress Inks & the gorgeous papers are actually winter/Xmas ones. They are Cosmo Cricket - Mitten Weather. Last I looked, Wendy actually had these on special offer at the Secret Crafters shop. Check them out when she's got everything back up online.

I left a sentiment off this card as, to be fair, I'm not sure when I will use it. But I'm loving, rediscovering Elisabeth Bell. Housework sure ain't my thing, as anyone who has ever visited my home will testify to. Having said that, my Mum & Dad are coming over on Sunday, so guess what I will be doing today! :~(

After visiting the fabulous creations of my lovely D-Teamies at the Secret Crafters Challenge blog. I hope you'll all see fit to play along with us.

I though I might also play along at the Belles & Whistles Challenge blog this week, where the theme is 'ribbon or lace, or both'

Hope everyone has a better day than me! Thanks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity - R is for Ribbon & Rhinestones

Apologies for being a little late with this, here is my card for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity challenge where this week we want to see you using embellishements on your card beginning with the letter,

R

I used ribbon & rhinestones on mine.

I hope these photos don't look as washed out for you as they do on my netbook. The papers are much nicer IRL. I used a Mo Manning for Stamping Bella image that I've had for yonks. This is only the second time I've inked her up. She's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are MME - Stella Rose, Hazel.

I've been paring things down a bit lately, trying to move towards a more CAS look. I'm not sure I've got the nerve, LOL!! But I want to give it a go at some point.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the C4E blog to see the gorgeous cards created by my fellow D-Teamies. Our lovely sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments who our offering this week's lucky winner 3 digi stamps of their choice.

Moreover, everyone loves a freebie, & if you're looking for a lovely sentiment with which to finish off your Father's Day cards, check out the fab digi Michelle has created that is available to snag at the Crafts 4 Eternity cafe, here.

I also want to enter this card at Stamp Something, where the challenge is 'Pretty Papers'. Is there any other kind?!!

Thanks so much for looking. Have a great weekend,

Passion For Promarkers - Here Comes the Bride

OMG, don't ask what an idiot I've been. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice I made a wedding card last week, but because I got my dates mixed up, I ended up making another! Sadly, I've got no more weddings pencilled in for the foreseeable future. Don't you just love a good wedding though? The one I went to at the weekend was fab. Beautiful couple, beautiful setting & great disco!!!

BTW, in case you haven't already gathered, this week's challenge at Passion For Promarkers, set by my lovely D-Teamie, Debs, is

This one is very simple. The image is LOTV again! The paper ribbon I used is from another lovely D-Teamie, Emma, at her fab online store, available here.

Our wonderfully generous sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique

They are offering this week's lucky winner a choice from their fabulous range digi images!

Please pop on over to the PFP blog & check out the wonderful creations of my lovely D-Teamies.

Father's Day is around the corner & with this in mind, we've got the challenge eveyone always dreads at Secret Crafters this week,

MALE CARDS

I know nobody likes making cards for men, but the theme was chosen by The Secret Crafter herself, Wendy, & she is lovely so she is forgiven!!

I'm on an LOTV role at the moment & couldn't resist colouring this cute little fella with Distress Inks, available from Secret Crafter here. The papers are Basic Grey - Marrakesh.

I have a lovely crafting friend near me to thank for both the 'loan' of the image & the papers. Big wave! You'll have to pop on over to the Secret Crafter challenge blog now to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

Crafts 4 Eternity - Colour Recipe

Boo Hoo! My holiday is over & I am back at work, but Whoop Whoop I've been reunited with my crafting stash & I'm able to play again!! Just in time for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge where this week week have a colour challenge for you of

STRAWBERRIES & CREAM

We're off to a wedding tomorrow & this is the card I made for our friends getting married. I wanted something elegant, but a little bit playful to suit their personalities. This Lili of the Valley image is perfect. It's coloured with Distress Inks, with a touch of glitter for a little sparkle. The lovely sentiment is also from LOTV.
I've kept this clean & simple to let the image do the talking. I hope you'll now check out the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies at Crafts 4 Eternity & play along. This week's winner will receive 4 digi imags of their choosing.
I would also like to enter this into the challenge at Papertake Weekly where 'Anything Goes'

PINK & BROWN or BLUE & BROWN

I've been dying to ink up these LOTV cuties for ages & this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I've kept things really simple. I used Memory Box- Gossamer papers & added a little lace across the card.

Don't those big fat cherries look yummy!!

Please hop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog to see the gorgeous creations of my fellow D-Teamies & join in.

Secret Crafter - Colour Theme

Happy Saturday everyone. This is a scheduled post so I hope you are seeing it OK. I wish I could say I'm sunning myself as you read this is, but having looked at the 5 day forecast for the area of Spain we are going to I'm not overly optimistic about squeezing into any of my swimwear. If I leave the tags on I might be able to take it back when I get home, LOL!!!

Anyway, on to this weeks challenge at Secret Crafters where my lovely D-Teamie, Tracie, has chosen this week's challenge which is to take inspiration from the photo she has provided.

I used the colour scheme to colour this cute Bildmalarna image with Distress Inks, available at the Secret Crafter. The papers are Basic Grey - Kioshi, & I used some gorgeous Cosmic Shimmer two tone ribbon, also from the Secret Crafter to finish it all off.

So I hope you'll now hop on over to the Secret Crafter blog to see for yourself the photo inspiration & what my fabulous D-Teamies made of it.

Thanks so much for looking.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
