Divas By design DT

Good Morning! Hope you're having a good week so far, not long now to the weekend! Also time for another fab Challenge at Divas By Design, where this week it's nice & easy for you,

ANYTHING GOES

I used this cute little Meljen's image, Dragon's Little Friend. Sorry the photo isn't the best, but he's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are old MME. Thought I'd keep this one simple as it's a male card.

Meljen's is our sponsor for this weeks challenge & my fabulous D-Teamies have been hard at work creating more wonderful inspiration for your delectation. Check them out at the Divs By Design blog. With such an easy theme you've no excuse for not playing along!!

So hopefully you're reading this OK. It means my scheduling worked. With a bit of luck I'll be topping up my tan in Spai,n on my holidays! 10 days of much needed R & R, as far as the boys will let me. To be fair I probably won't see much of Jack. Once we buy him a football & he finds a pitch, he'll only come back when he needs feeding! This is also the period of the year when you find Ben at his cleanest, as he spends all his time in the pool! I just need to make sure I've got a good book!!

Well that's all for now.
Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Sketch N Stash DT & my Heartfelt Thanks

Good Morning! It's the start of a brand new week & a brand new challenge at Sketch N Stash! This time around, it's my gorgeous D-Teamie, Jen's turn to design the sketch.

I used another cute Wryn image from Tiddly Inks & coloured her with Prismas. The papers are MME - Wild Asparagus again. I added a charm onto the Divine Twine & created a flower of sorts from various dies & a ribbon flower. You can just see the Glossy Accents I added to the cherry to make it more shiny. Can't help thinking she needs a little something else though. I might revisit her with a little doodling around the edge of the image.

So here is Jen's fab sketch for your delectation

This week we have not one, but two wonderful sponsors. Dies To Die For are offering one winner a £10 voucher to spend at the store.

Mei Flower are giving our other winner a £20 voucher to spend there, WOW!

So I hope you'll pop on over to the Sketch N Stash blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

I am also entering this at Totally Gorjuss, where the theme this week is 'Charmed'

Yesterday, I completed the Manchester 10K in a time of 1hour 17minutes & 22 seconds. That was over two minutes faster than last year so I was very pleased. I woke up this morning feeling pleasantly surprised at how little I ache, that was until I came down the stairs & discovered my knees are killing me!! Fortunately we've got lifts at work, so I might have to cheat for today!

I also want to thank those of you that gave me messages of support. It really helped motivate me to keep running around the course. Some of you very generously sponsored me too. I just can't thank you enough. I was running in aid of Brain Tumour UK who help fund research into Brain Tumours. They also offer support to families affected & work to raise awareness of this disease. As I said in my last post. I was inspired to run for Brain Tumour UK by the story of the neice of a good friend of ours.

Billie's brain tumour is inoperable & she has been receiving treatment, but her prognosis is not good. The bravery of this gorgeous little 5 year old girl is an inspiration to us all.

You can read more about her fight at her blog here & about the important work that Brain Tumour UK do here. If you can, please make a donation to help fund the research to find a cure. Thank You so much.

Well that's all from me for today.
Thanks so much for looking & listening!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT & a plea for Billie Butterfly.

Phew I made it to the weekend. The days in between just seem to get harder, but it's always a pleasure to create for Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge & this week we have another fab theme for you,

IN THE GARDEN

This little Belles & Whistles cutie is coloured with Distress Inks & I used ages old MME Wild Asparagus papers. The flowers were created with a Tim Holtz die & the leaves made with A Doo Hickey & McGill punch. I'm into photo corners too just now & used a Martha Stewart punch for mine.

I hope you'll check out the fab inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies on the Secret Crafter's Blog. This week we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, who are offering our winner 3 digi stamps

I am also entering this at Papertake Weekly, where the theme is also ' In the Garden'.

At this month's Bunny Zoes challenge, 'Anything Goes'.

I hope you are still with me as I want to make plea for your help & support. Tomorrow I am running the Manchester 10K to raise money for Brain Tumour UK. I've been inspired by the story of Billie Bainbridge, the gorgeous 5 year old niece of a good friend of ours.

She suffers from an inoperable brain tumour. You can read more about the story of this beautiful & brave little girl here.

Brain Tumour UK work to provide support for sufferers & their families, fund vital research into finding an effective treatment & raise awareness.

I am not a natural runner & it would be a massive boost to know that anyone out there is supporting me with a donation as I pound the streets. More importantly this charity does important work & perhaps gets overshadowed by bigger & more popular charities, so any money you can spare would be most gratefully received. Please donate, whatever you can via Billie's blog or at Brain Tumour UK.

Thank you so much for reading this & for any kind of your support you can offer. I really appreciate it.

Big Hugs to one & all.
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Way-Hay for Saturday once more & time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge, chosen this week by the uber talented Franz, who has chosen the theme

I LOVE YOU MUM!

Every time a new Magnolia collection comes out, I limit myself to buying just one. This time around Tilda with Winding Flowers was the stand out one for me. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Prima - Botanical. The butterfly was created with a Marianne Design die & the border that doesn't show up very well is a Doo Hickey. I also added tiny amounts of Liquid Pearls amongst the flowers for a bit of texture.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies. This week our fabulous sponsor is The Digi Doodle Shop & our lucky winner will get a $10 voucher to spend there.

I would also like to enter this at Stamp with Fun this week. I have used their wonderful sketch for my layout.

At Truly Scrumptious this fortnight, 'Anything Goes'.

At Totally Gorjuss the theme is 'Pink & Green'.

So what are your plans for the weekend? Today will mostly be spent doing chores :~( Then tomorrow everything will start getting a bit tense & stressful around 3 o'clock. Understandably given we live in Manchester, football will be dominating our activities. Can QPR cause Man City to slip up to allow United to win the Premiership? I'll be more concerned with the battle for 7th place. Can Everton stay ahead of Liverpool? Come on the Toffees!!

So there you go. That's it from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Divas By Design DT

Good Morning & a Happy Wednesday one & all! Time for another fab challenge at Divas By Design. This week it's one of those we all dread, the necessary evil that is

ONE FOR THE BOYS!

I've had this little LOTV cutie for ages & he's never seen ink till now. Now he's coloured, he's definitely one of my fave boy images. He's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are DCWV - All About Boys. If you look closely, you can just make out the glossy accents I used in the windows of their helmets.

Our lovely sponsor this week is The Digi Garden. I hope you'll now pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies.

I am also entering this at Papertake Weekly where the theme is 'Cute, cute, cute'. He's adorable isn't he?

At Cute Card Thursday the challenge is also 'One for the Boys'.

I based my layout on the fab sketch at Totally Gorjuss too.

So there we go for now. I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

OMG! I went to bed last night before I completed my post for today. I was so tired. Then this morning I overslept. So sorry for the delay in showing my DT card for Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge using Francesca's fabulous sketch.

My distress inks were dusted off for this Wee Whimsy cutie. The papers are First Edition - Spring Feast & the flowers & seam binding are from WOC. I also used a Doo Hickey for the heart border & Marianne dies behind the flowers.

Here's Francesca's sketch. I hope you'll pop on over to the Secret Crafter's blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D Teamies.

We have 3 lovely sponsors generously donating fab prizes this week. Crafter's Companion are offering a £10 voucher.

The wonderful Digi Darlas are offering 5 digis of the winners choice

Whimsy Stamps are also offering one of our winner their choice of 5 digis

How good is that?!!

I am also entering this at Deep Ocean Challenges where they want you to use dies or punches. Truly Scrumptious also want to see the same thing, along with distressing.

At Papertake Weekly, 'Anything Goes'.

I also hope there is enough bling on my card to qualify at Stamptacular Sunday, where the theme is 'Spring Bling'.

So what is everyone up to today? I will be avoiding the FA Cup final, as Everton aren't in it. Paul keeps calling me a 'bitter Blue'. I guess I am :~(

It's Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK & right now the weather is lovely. That won't last! So I better get some washing on. We haven't got much planned. Just a bit of pottering around the house & enjoying the fact we are not in work, LOL! Whatever you are up to, I hope you have fun.

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
