Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #23 & Another Thank You

I'm rather late with my post for this weeks C4E Challenge. I've been away over the weekend & expected to be able to post this, but I just haven't had chance. So without further ado here's what we have for you this week. To enter you must,
1. use Michele's fab sketch,
2. use in inkink technique
3. use fabric on your card.

Here's my card. The stamp is by Elusive Images. It's quite grown up for me. But I think it will come in very useful when I have to make cards for those people I know that just don't do cute!

Colouring this was super easy with my Distress Inks. I distressed round the edge of the image & the sentiment & added a little tulle. The DPs are Basic Grey, Sugar Rush. In truth the image is too big for the sketch on this size of card, but I like the effect.

Hope you want to come & play this week. Especially when you see this incredibly cute robot digi image Michele has designed that you could win. My boys would love that!

Sadly this week, we say Good-Bye to our fabulous Guest Design Team member, Sandra. But we welcome super talented Jennifer. Check these ladies out, they are great. I also want to say a huge Thank You to another wonderful DT member Pinky, who was kind enough to send me this gorgeous card.

Sadly my photography skills do not do it justice. IRL the colours are yummy & the colouring is fab! The paper also gives it the effect of making it look like a cross stitch. It's just amazing. Thanks again, Pinky, I love it!!
So there you go. I've had a brilliant weekend with my sister over from France, with my beautiful niece, & found out I'm going to have a nephew (probably!) too in September. Everything is just great! Hope you are all happy & well!
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

2 in 1 & a Special Guest!

I want to dedicate this card to all the lovely people who stopped by to wish me a Happy Birthday. The fact that you took the time a trouble means a lot so Thank You. I will of course be stopping by you all personally too.

This card follows the fab sketch over at the current challenge at Lili of the Valley. I have been dying to ink up this gorgeous fairy. She is totally sweet. Of course I had to glitter her, where is the magic otherwise? The papers are Basic Grey, Wisteria & she is coloured with Distress Inks which qualifies her for entry at A Spoonfull of Sugar. My flowers & buttons are a mix from Crafty Feeling & Hobbycraft.

Onto my special guest. If you haven't already seen it on her own blog, this is the gorgeous birthday card my wonderful friend Dena sent me for my birthday. Can I just say the photos do
not do it justice. It is even more stunning IRL.
I was absolutely thrilled to receive this. The tag pulls out with a lovely message. I just love everything about it. As always I am in awe of her fabulous talent. She is such a warm & generous person. Just pop over to her blog & you'll see what I mean.

So there you go. I'll be back tomorrow, for Crafts 4 Eternity. In the meantime I hope you are all happy & having a great weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #21

Gosh, I've been such a bad blogger of late. I just don't know where the time goes. Fortunately it's C4E time again & Michele has come up with another great sketch & recipe. This week we want you to:-
1. use the sketch
2.use the colours black & pink
3. include staples in your creation

I have a confession to make. I bought this Leanne Ellis, Poise stamp, from Sugar Nellie, when it first came out & this is the first time I have actually used it. (Smacks back of hand). She is actually a dream to colour with my Distress Inks. I think I will be using her a lot more.

There is not much to else to tell you about this card. I used some old monochrome Anna Griffin papers & the flowers & brad are from a Crafty Feeling kit. I also added black sequins to the centre of the small flowers, for a little added shine, but they don't show up so well in the photo.

It's time to pop on over to the Crafts 4 Eternity blog now to see the gorgeous work of my extremely talented DT colleagues. I think we all really liked this challenge, they have excelled themselves!
It is my Mum's birthday next weekend & I made this card for her. So I would also like to enter this into this week's challenge at Quixotic Paperie where the challenge is to make 'Something for Mum'
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Valentines Double Header

OMG where has the week gone? I've just realised it's been a whole week since my last post. I have not even been round much to comment, so I must apologise & I will be trying to rectify that over the next few days. I do have a couple of cards to show you today, both for Valenties Day. The first I made for my Dad to give my Mum & I used this weeks sketch & recipe at Crafts 4 Eternity where we want you to
1. use the sketch
2. use polka dots
3. use chipboard
I must ring my Mum to see if she likes her card. I've left it entirely up to my Dad to add the sentiment, but I think the image should pave the way for him quite nicely!

There is not really too much to tell you about the card. My Mum/bombshell is coloured with distress inks & the DPs are Crate Paper. The heart was a blank chipboard shape I covered in paper & inked round the edges to neaten it up.

Exciting things are afoot at C4E. Michele is offering a gorgeous mini card kit for our winner this week. We still have our lovely GDT member Sandra sharing her fabulous creations & this week welcome the equally wonderfully talented Keeley into the fold. I hope you will join in with the fun this week & check out their work & that of my other brilliant DT colleagues.

My second card is the one I made for my dear Hubby. I used a Mo Manning digi image to show what we will look like in another 30-40years time together! I think the idea might be a bit daunting for him. You get less for murder, LOL!!

I coloured the image with Promarkers & am entering this at Papertake Weekly as I have used their fabulous sketch for my layout. At Creative Inspirations this week they have asked us to use leftovers. My DPs are Basic Grey Blush that I have had for ages & I am still using them up. But that's OK because I really like them! The heart pins, conversely, are brand new from one of my favourite shops, Quixotic Paperie. Where Elaine always offers great service.

There are a few more romantic challenges where this also fits the bill. At Simon Says Stamp, they are asking 'What's Love got to do with It?' Well, everything if you ask me! Seeing as I made this card 'In the Name of Love' I'm entering it at Cute Card Thursday too!
At Lili of the Valley, the theme is Valentines. I could enter both these cards in there!
My colour scheme is based on the yummy colour pallette of red, white, pink & chocolate
at Colour Create this fortnight. They are celebrating their birthday. Congratulations girls, thank you so much for the fab inspiration over the last 12 months. Long may it continue!!
I don't think I've ever entered so many challenges at once, & if you've stuck with me this far you deserve a medal! Thanks so much for looking & whatever you are up to on this beautiful day I hope you have fun.
Big Valentines Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #19

Sunday comes round so quickly, 'Yay!' it's time for Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe challenge once more. Here's the sketch the lovely Michele has created for your delectation! In addition, we want to to use,
1. the colour RED
2. include a heart(s)

My interpretation is rather simple this week. But I treated myself to a pad of BG Sugar Rush DPs & I wanted them to be seen!

I won this Sugar Nellie Manga image a while ago & it had never seen ink. This image is so cute, but I do worry that the little boy will grow up with bandy legs!

This is the flatest card I have made in ages! My only embellishment is a heart I cut & covered in glitter. Sometimes simple just feels right!

Anyway, come & play along at C4E this week & you could win a mini card kit. We also welcome the talented Sandra as a Guest DT member, see her blog at Papiergardens. Her work is fab!

I'm rather late with this, so apologies. It's been a busy day. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Happy Birthday Dena!!

Here's a card that holds a special place in my heart, because I made it for a very special lady! I discovered her blog just under a year ago, when she was new to the world of Blogland like me. At first, I was bowled over by her beautiful cards, but very quickly I came to find she is quite simply, a warm, kind & generous friend too.

DENA!
This one's for you, by best blogging buddy!!

Today is Dena's birthday, so I hope this has reached her OK. It is a Mo Manning stamp, coloured to fit this fortnights colour combo at Colour Create, where incidentally, Dena is on the DT.

Now I have a favour to ask. I would like everyone who sees this post to hop on over to Dena's Stamping Corner & leave her a special birthday message. If you haven't been there before, you're sure to be in awe of her amazing talent & inspiration. She's just FAB!
So there you go.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENA!
Have a Wonderful DAY!!
Big, extra special, Birthday Hugs,
Andie xx

Love Tilda

There are just so many challenges to enter with a Valentines theme this week I just had to make a card. Having said hat I've probably missed the first one at Just Magnolia where the theme is Hearts & Flowers. The fab layout at A Spoonfull of Sugar suits that theme perfectly!

I chose the colour scheme from the beautiful rose picture at Simon Says Stamp & at Secret Crafters they are asking to see hearts on your cards. Finally the theme at Creative Card Crew is Valentines, so this fits the bill there.

My DPs are K& Co & the big heart was made with Bazzill Bling card stock. I love that stuff! Tilda is coloured with my trusty Distress Inks & I think this has to be one of my favourite Magnolia images. She is just so innocent & trusting.
Anyway, I hope you like my card. Thanks so much for looking.
Enjoy what's left of the week & roll on the weekend!
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Setting the Record Straight!

It's a common misconception that fairies are all slim & pretty. Mo Manning has proved otherwise with her images of fairies who are, shall we say, a little overweight. I'm not sure how this one gets off the ground, but she's nonetheless graceful in flight!

I based the card on the fab sketch at Sketch & Stash this week. I'll definitely use this again. My new stash is the Mo Manning stamp, & I've used Basic Grey Wisteria DPs I've had for some time now, but I never get tired of them.

There are quite a few other challenges out there this would fit in with. However, I've probably missed the deadline for Quixotic Paperie where the challenge is to use a butterfly on your card. Passion 4 Promarkers want to see cards with 'all creatures great & small'. The butterfly fits this category, but it also got me thinking. Is a fairy a creature or a person? Discuss!! Finally at Cute Card Thursday they want you to use flowers on your cards, easy!!
Well I hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
