Crafts 4 Eternity - Pea Soup!

It's Friday & time for another Crafts 4 Eternity challenge. This week we want you to use Michele's fab sketch with shades of green. The lucky winner of this weeks challenge will get to choose 3 of the wonderful digi images available at the C4E store.

This close to Christmas with a green theme, what else is there to do but make a birthday card! It's Ben's 5th birthday on Sunday & this is for him. He loves video games, a little too much!

The image & sentiment are from Lili of the Valley. They make the cutest boy images. He's coloured with Distress Inks. I went a bit made with the distressing round the edge & it looks a bit grubby. But then again that fits with Ben perfectly too!! The papers are MME.

Overall I kept it simple, though I couldn't resist a bit of sparkle with the adhesive crystals!

It's time to pop on over to the C4E blog to see what my lovely D Teamies have been up to.

I am also entering this at Cute Card Thursday where the theme is 'one for the kids'.

Thanks so much for looking. Hope everyone out there is happy & well.

C4E - Treasured Friends with Special Guest Designer

It's Friday & we've got a lovely theme for you at Crafts 4 Eternity this week - Treasured Friends! Michele has created a lovely simple sketch to go along with it.

The image on my card reminds me of the fabulous Christmas Louis Armstrong classic, 'Zat You, Santa Claus?' I coloured it with Promarkers & it's from Bildmalarna. It's just adorable. Wonderful Dena got it at the NEC & I had to 'borrow' a few copies!

My papers are MME - The Merry Days of Christmas & I used a Martha Stewart deep edge punch for the snowflake border. The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Now for a big drum roll please! Our special guest designer this week is my very own 7 year old son, Jack. He was off school poorly last week & made a card for his Grandma & Granddad to help his recuperation. He used a Whiff of Joy snowman, but mean old Mummy wouldn't share her Promarkers, so he made do with felt tips! She's not all mean, as she did let Jack use some gorgeous October Afternoon DPs (gulp!).

The border was created with another Marhta Stewart
punch & the ribbon is from my stash. All finished off with a Xmas Tree charm & snowflakes created from the punch with little gems adhered. Jack is so proud of his efforts & would love to read any comments you may want to share :~)

We have 2 fab prizes for 2 lucky winners this week. One will win a set of Xmas digi sentiments from Crafty Sentiments, the other will win this adorable Clive the Penguin digi, created by Michele herself. Isn't he cute?!!

Please hop on over to check out the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies at C4E.

Jack & I would also like to enter our cards at A Spoonfull of Sugar, where the challenge is to make a Christmas card.

So there you go. Thanks so much for looking.

Fairy Lights Edwin!

I've been dying to ink up this little cutie. It's the Xmas card I made for my youngest son Ben. He is so clumsy, the idea of him getting tangled up in fairy lights is not a huge stretch of the imagination!!

Edwin/Ben is coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Memory Box Tinsel. The sentiment is from the fab Xmas selection by LOTV.

I thought I'd enter this little cutie for a few challenges.

At Just Magnolia this week 'Anything Goes with Sparkle'. I made the fairy lights twinkle by using Art  Institute Glitter.

At Secret Crafters the theme is Christmas. Nice & simple just like me!!

Papertake Weekly provided the fab sketch upon which I based my layout.

So there you go. That's all for now. Hope everyone has had a good start to the week. One down, four days to go to the weekend!!

Thanks for looking,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Vintage!

Thank Crunchie it's Friday! Time for another fab challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week we want you to incorporate a vintage theme with this week's sketch.

I embraced the vintage feel this week & stepped out of my comfort zone. I used an image from Crafty Individuals.

I used Distress Inks to colour the background & ink the image & embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl. The DPs are MME Holly Jolly. I distressed everything with my embossing tool & used Ranger Perfect Pearls & Liquid Pearl to further add to the vintage feel.

Not sure vintage is really my strong point, but I did enjoy getting my fingers dirty with this. Might just have overdone it a bit though!

Please pop over to the C4E blog for more fabulous inspiration from my lovely D-Teamies.

Hope everyone has a great weekend & is keeping safe & warm!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
