Passion For Promarkers DT

Good Morning happy Crafters! Time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. This week, the wonderfully talented Jane has chosen our theme of

DOWN ON THE FARM

I don't have much in the way of 'farmyard' stamps, but I thought this little Bildmalarna cutie might fit the bill. I'm not quite happy with the way this turned out though, her face looks slightly freaky & over orange! Love the papers however. They're Prima - Songbird. I covered the larger birds with Glossy Accents & sprinkled Glamour Dust over it.

So time now to pop on over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see the fantastic inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. Our lucky winner this week, will receive a £10 voucher to spend on the multitude of goodies at Joanna Sheen.

So, there we go. Not much to report at this end. Thanks so much for looking.

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Goodness, I'm late again, but hopefully now things have settled down & normal service can be resumed. This is my card for the new challenge at Secret Crafter's, where lovely Tracie has set our theme for this week. She wants to see you getting in shape for Spring & create

SHAPED CARDS

I struggle with shaped cards as I don't have any large dies that are suitable, so I compromised with a step card & I cut the image with a Spellbinders die. This little sweetie is from the new Bildmalarna release, she's just adorable. She's coloured with Prismas & I added a sentiment from Tina Wenke for Stampavie.

If you haven't already been, get yourself on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the fab creations of my fellow D-Teamies. This week we're thrilled to have Lili of the Valley as our sponsor & our lucky winner will get a £10 voucher to spend there. Have you seen their new release. They're all just fabulous. I can't wait to get mine inked up!

I am entering this at Simon Says Stamp, where this week, Anything Goes.

So it's looking like another lovely day here in Manchester. We're taking the boys to Clitheroe today to stay with my Mum & Dad for the Easter hols while Paul & I have to work :#( But the boys love it & are soooooo excited! Right now they've gotten so giddy & noisy I can't wait to take them, but I know I'll miss them so much till we go back to Clitheroe on Friday.

Well there we go for now. Thanks so much for looking. Whatever you are up to, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks so much for looking.

Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge DT

It's the weekend! Oooh I love it so! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. This time around it's lovely Helen's turn to choose our theme & she has gone for

HUGS & KISSES

I have the perfect sentiment for this challenge from Bildmalarna, so I thought I'd use another Bildmalarna image to sit with it. This was going to be my Valentine's card for my fabulous hubbie until Jack said he didn't like the image. Though he did say it looked a lot better once it was on the card! It's coloured with Prismas & looks a little washed out in artificial light. It's much nicer IRL. The heart is a wooden embellishment with lashing of Candy Cane Stickles. The papers are Memory Box - Brioche.

I am also entering this at Truly Scrumptious, where the theme is 'Love & Hearts'

This week at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge we are sponsored by Crafter's Companion, who are generously giving our winner a £10 voucher to spend at their fabulous store!

So what are you doing this weekend? I'm hoping to fit in a trip to the gym before it starts snowing! Then, I plan to drag the kids outside, kicking & screaming no doubt, to help me build a snowman. I'm not sure who is the biggest kid in this household sometimes, LOL!!

Whatever you are up to, have a wonderful weekend & keep warm!

Secret Crafters - Halloween!

Whoop-de-whoop for the weekend! We've got another fab challenge at Secret Crafters for you this week chosen by my lovely D-Teamie, Kate. She wants to see what you make of her theme,

HALLOWEEN

This is Little Mimosa Witch from Bildmalarna. She's so sweet. I coloured her with Distress Inks & the papers are. The sentiment is from High Hopes.

There is not much to tell you about this really as I followed the sketch at Papertake Weekly quite faithfully & I don't really have much in the way of Halloweeen themed embellishments.

This card also fits at Cute Card Thursday, where they're going 'Animal Crackers'.

At Simon Says Stamp, 'Anything Goes'. As it does too at Crafts 4 Eternity. Big waves & kisses to all my lovely former D-Teamies over there!

It's now time to pop on over to the Secret Crafters blog to see the wonderful inspiration on display there. I hope you'll play along with us this week, I look forward to seeing your fab creations.

Also here's a heads up for all you lovely ladies in the Midlands, or further afield maybe. The original Secret Crafter herself & uber talented all round lovely person, Wendy, is hosting a 'Christmas Dabble Day' on November 19th. You get expert guidance from fabulous tutors to make a range of gorgeous xmas projects, with the chance to 'dabble' with various tools & techniques. Sounds like a mega fun day out!

So there you go. That's all from me for now. I hope you all have a great weekend & this fantastic weather lasts at least till Monday. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,

Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge - Butterflies

Do a happy dance for the weekend at last!! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafters where wonderful Wendy has chosen the theme of

BUTTERFLIES!

Perfect for what should be the start of Spring. But as I look out of my wnindow right now, it all looks a bit grey & drab! Where has all the sunshine gone?! Oh course it's the weekend, the lovely weather will all come back again once I'm sitting behind my desk again on Monday morning!

Sorry this is a little late, I've had some blogger issues, but with this card, I wanted to go for a bit of a vintage, grungy look. I'm feeling very inspired by the fabulous Camilla at the moment. & I want to head off in that direction to see where it takes me :~)

I used 'Together' by Bildmalarna. She's coloured with Distress Inks & cut out with Nesties, both available at the Secret Crafter shop. I added the swirls using a Stempelglede stamp. The papers are Prima - Sparkling Spring & I cut out an extra butterfly & 3D'd it in the corner.  I continued the butterfly theme with a Martha Stewart border punch. Some lovely lace, adhesive gems & a little glitter finished it all off.

So now it's time to check out the gorgeous creations of my fellow D-Teamies over at Secret Crafters, they have excelled themselves this week.

I based my card on this week's sketch at Papertake Weekly, so I would like to enter my card there.

Cute Card Thursday want to see 'Couples' on your cards OK, so they are not a conventional couple, but the sure look gorgeous together!

The colour scheme at Colour Create just now is pastels, so this little cutie is being entered there too.

So that's all for now. What does your weekend hold? Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all the UK Mums out there. Mums everywhere should celebrate anyway, because we're all fabulous!! Whatever you are up to, have a great time.

Thanks so much for looking,
Big Hugs,

C4E - Treasured Friends with Special Guest Designer

It's Friday & we've got a lovely theme for you at Crafts 4 Eternity this week - Treasured Friends! Michele has created a lovely simple sketch to go along with it.

The image on my card reminds me of the fabulous Christmas Louis Armstrong classic, 'Zat You, Santa Claus?' I coloured it with Promarkers & it's from Bildmalarna. It's just adorable. Wonderful Dena got it at the NEC & I had to 'borrow' a few copies!

My papers are MME - The Merry Days of Christmas & I used a Martha Stewart deep edge punch for the snowflake border. The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Now for a big drum roll please! Our special guest designer this week is my very own 7 year old son, Jack. He was off school poorly last week & made a card for his Grandma & Granddad to help his recuperation. He used a Whiff of Joy snowman, but mean old Mummy wouldn't share her Promarkers, so he made do with felt tips! She's not all mean, as she did let Jack use some gorgeous October Afternoon DPs (gulp!).

The border was created with another Marhta Stewart
punch & the ribbon is from my stash. All finished off with a Xmas Tree charm & snowflakes created from the punch with little gems adhered. Jack is so proud of his efforts & would love to read any comments you may want to share :~)

We have 2 fab prizes for 2 lucky winners this week. One will win a set of Xmas digi sentiments from Crafty Sentiments, the other will win this adorable Clive the Penguin digi, created by Michele herself. Isn't he cute?!!

Please hop on over to check out the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies at C4E.

Jack & I would also like to enter our cards at A Spoonfull of Sugar, where the challenge is to make a Christmas card.

So there you go. Thanks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity #55 - White Christmas!

Oh dear! I scheduled this post for this morning, but put the wrong date in! But no matter, better late than never, I hope you'll agree!

It's time for the new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This weeks recipe is to use the sketch & incorporate the theme 'White Christmas'.

I have to say, I've never made an all white Christmas card before & I really loved the simplicity of it. I used this adorable Bildmalarna stamp called Mimosa lights the way.

She's coloured with Distress Inks & the paper has been embossed with Cuttlebug folders. I pleated the lace with copious amounts of sticky tape & used a fab Viva Glitter Liner from Quixotic Paperie round the edge & on the lantern. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & Hobbycraft.

All told a very simple card to make. So I hope you'll now pop on over to the C4E blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. You'll also see this week's fab prize from our lovely sponsors at Crafty Sentiments.

I would also like to enter this into this week's A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge, where the theme is Winter Wonderland.

It just remains for me to thank you so much for looking. I hope you have a great weekend.

Andie xx

Sweet Spring Mimo

These Bildmalarna images are fast becoming some my faves. I feel an addiction coming on! This is the second of the ones I got from Bunny Zoes thanks to my fabulous friend Dena.

This card fits three challenges. The layout is from the this weeks great sketch at Create 4 Fun. I've used the yummy colour pallette at Colour Create of mint, chocolate & cream. At Secret Crafters the theme is 'Spring has Sprung'. I think this image fits the bill there too.

This little boy's name is Mimo, but he reminds me of both my boys, who may not be perfect, but both of them are loving to a fault. Yesterday Ben went out into the front garden in just his pyjamas. I was mortified that he had gone out on his own, but he said he had gone looking for flowers to pick for me! He is such a sweetheart!!

So there you go. Hope everyone's week has started well.
Thanks for looking.

Birthday Cutie!!

It's been such ahectic day today this post is going onfar later than I intended. I hope it's in time for A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge this week, where they want you ot use beads. Can you see them in the centre of the flower & on the butterflies?

The layout is based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers this week, so I'm entering it there too. The papers are Cosmo Cricket & the image is Bildmalarna & she called Tossa! Both are from Bunny Zoe's

I want to say a huge THANK YOU! to my bestest blogging pal, Dena. She sent me a Bunny Zoe gift voucher for my birthday, with which I bought this stamp & a couple more I hope to get inked up very soon. I think most people who have visited my blog before are probably aware of the love & utmost respect I have for Dena both as a warm & generous person, & as an amazingly talented crafter. Go pay her a visit if you haven't already & see what I am talking about.

I loved making this card. I hope you like it too. Thanks for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
