Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #23

Time for another Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe once more. This week we would like you to
1.use Michele's fab sketch
2. use ribbon
3.add a ticket.

I made my card for a work colleague who turns 60 today, though I don't think she really wanted reminding of that! I chose a Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis image to fit the bill. I am also entering this at Simon Says Stamp this week, where I think this fits the girly aspect of the challenge.

I went for a vintage look on this & hacked away with my distressing tool. I had a raffle ticket stant that wasn't appropriate so & cut it out & used the reverse with a more suitable sentiment. Distressing hides the amateurish nature of my effort!

I've coloured her with my distress inks, including some of the new colours, added some glitter & glazed the bubbles. The papers are MME, Wild Asparagus.

With each passing week, the C4E family is growing. This week sees the wonderfully talented Adrina, Faye & Michele join the team. We also welcome Crafty Chris on board as March's Guest Designer. Her blog is full of fabulous creations. I hope you will join us again this week & check out the terific work of my lovely DT teamies! This weeks winner will be invited to be our Guest Designer for April. Are you up for it?

Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We're just having a quiet one, but it still seems to be passing far too quickly!! Doesn't it always, LOL!

Thanks for looking,
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Stamptacular Sunday & Bev's Magnolia Candy

Where has the week gone? I started this card on Tuesday, obviously I'm not the fastest crafter! This weeks sketch on Stamptacular Sunday is a lovely simple sketch that I have stuck to quite faithfully, though I could not resist creating a little flower to echo the flowers on her skirt. I also used a glitter pen on her skirt, the rose & bird to add a bit of sparkle. The orange & green papers I used for the mat & layering are also sparkly, though the photo does not pick it up very well. She is coloured with my DIs & the DPs are MME Bloom & Grow. By the way, Stamptacular Sunday are promising a special fun day tomorrow (19th). Not sure what it will entail, but should be worth stopping by to find out!
Have you seen Bev has a weekly Magnolia candy giveaway, sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. This week it is the gorgeous Tilda with Roses. Who wouldn't want to win that one?!
Hope everyone is having agood weekend.
Regards,
Andie xx

Happy Birthday Mum!!

As I can not give this to you personally today Mum, I thought I would at least let you open it, or at least open a link to it. Hope you are continuing to have a wonderful holiday, even though it is coming to an end. Can't wait to see you next week & give it to you personally. All my Love.xxx

I am also entering this for the Ismaki Sketch Challenge this week. It is a great layout, Though I fear I have not done it justice. I will definitely give it another go! Thanks for looking.

Andrea

Sugar Bowl Challenge 3 - Love & Romance

Yeah I've done it. Entered a challenge for the first time. Now I just need to improve my photography skills & there'll be no stopping me! It is appropriate that my first card is based on a sketch by Marlene whose blog I first visited over a year ago. I was blown away by her talent & over the last 12 months I have found huge amounts of inspiration & information on http://www.mar1ene.wordpress.com/. As I get better at this blogging malarky I will add a list of all you hugely talented ladies out there whose blogs have been a source of wonder & have motivated me to create my own site.
The stamped image is a Leanne Ellis design from www.funkykits.co.uk, coloured with distress inks (I'm not using anything else at the moment!), with pink Stickles to glam up the roses. The papers are quite old from Li'l Davis Designs - Love Affair, how appropriate! It is quite hard to see the floral felt ribbon which was a freebie from www.sillymonkeycrafts.co.uk - Thank you so much! The ornate corner was done with a cuttlebug die. And all the ribbon & heart are from my stash.
Thanks for looking.
