Passion For Promarkers - Beary Special!

It's Tuesday & my fabulous D-Teamie, Lisa, has chosen a wonderful theme for this week's challenge at Passion For Promarkers. She wants to see your
BEARY SPECIAL
creations, featuring lots of cuddly teddies!

This is just the worst photo, IRL this is not radioactive day glow salmon pink! I'm going to have to take a new photo asap. This challenge was an opportunity for me to use one of my favourite Belles n'Whistles images. The papers are MME - Stella Rose & you can just see the cute little teddy charm in the corner.

I based my layout on the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday this week.

I am also entering this at Stamp Something who are sadly celebrating their final challenge with an 'Anything Goes' theme.

I hope you'll now check out the wonderful inspiration of my fabulous D-Teamies at the Passion For Promarkers blog & play along with us this week. Our lucky winner will win a choice of three digi images from the wonderful, Some Odd Girl. What are you waiting for?!

I hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers - Gingham!

Happy Tuesday to you all! Lovely Lisa has chosen our theme at Passion For Promarkers this week & her theme is

GINGHAM

Shock horror, I found a gap in my crafting stash! I don't have much gingham! How did that happen? However what I did find was soooooo lush I did not want to cut into it. But, without this challenge, who knows when I would have made myself to cut into these gorgeous Pion papers from Dies To Die For. But it was worth it. This is quite possibly the prettiest card I've ever made! BTW, the image, if you don't already recognise it is LOTV. The butterfly is also from Pion, with a thin layer of Liquid Pearls.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the PFP blog to see the glorious creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Moreover, this week's winner will win their choice of 6 digi images from our wonderful sponsor this week, The Digistamp Boutique.

I made this card following Donalda's fab sketch at this week's LOTV challenge.

I would also like to enter it at Stamp Something where the theme is 'Bug & Butterflies'.

At Totally Gorjuss, the theme is 'Sumertime'.

So there you go. Thanks so much for looking & have a great week.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - R is for Ribbon & Rhinestones

Apologies for being a little late with this, here is my card for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity challenge where this week we want to see you using embellishements on your card beginning with the letter,

R

I used ribbon & rhinestones on mine.

I hope these photos don't look as washed out for you as they do on my netbook. The papers are much nicer IRL. I used a Mo Manning for Stamping Bella image that I've had for yonks. This is only the second time I've inked her up. She's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are MME - Stella Rose, Hazel.

I've been paring things down a bit lately, trying to move towards a more CAS look. I'm not sure I've got the nerve, LOL!! But I want to give it a go at some point.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the C4E blog to see the gorgeous cards created by my fellow D-Teamies. Our lovely sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments who our offering this week's lucky winner 3 digi stamps of their choice.

Moreover, everyone loves a freebie, & if you're looking for a lovely sentiment with which to finish off your Father's Day cards, check out the fab digi Michelle has created that is available to snag at the Crafts 4 Eternity cafe, here.

I also want to enter this card at Stamp Something, where the challenge is 'Pretty Papers'. Is there any other kind?!!

Thanks so much for looking. Have a great weekend,
Big Hugs,

Secret Crafters- Jane's Sketch

Whoop Whoop for the weekend & another Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge! It's the turn of my lovely D-Teamie, Jane, to chose this weeks theme & she has created a fab sketch for you to follow.

This is Jane's sketch

I used one of the cute little fairies from the last Kraftin Kimmie release. This one reminds me a bit of Kylie Minogue! She's coloured with Promakers (for a change!) & the gorgeous papers are by Kaiser Craft & available at Secret Crafter here. I added a little watered down liquid pearls to add a bit of shimmer to her wings, but you can't see it very well in the photos. The sentiment is from LOTV & the flowers from WOC.

She's a bit cheeky isn't she, LOL! I wish my backside was as pert as that! Well I'm working on it. I'm lugging it round the Manchester 10K tomorrow, so wish me luck with that!!

I am also entering this at the Creative Card Crew, where this week's challenge is May Flowers.

Stamp Something are celebrating their 3rg anniversary with an Anything Goes Challenge & a fab blog hop.

So that's it for now. I'll be back later with my belated Crafts 4 Eternity DT card.

Thanks so much for looking,

Enchanting Fairy & some big news!!

My poor Promarkers have been feeling a little neglected of late, so I thought I get them out for a little play. I found this gorgeous fairy at the craft fair in Manchester from J and C Creations. She's called Capri by the Stamp Barn.

I think this fairy is so elegant. She satisfies my need for cute, but is just a bit more grown up. I made this card for a lady at work who shares the same birthday as me. The fabulous shimmer on her wings was made with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Sparkle glitter. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I love the cute little bird as well. Birds are a big trend right now, everywhere you go at the moment. Long may it continue, they're just beautiful.

There are several challenges I created this for. The layout is based on the lovely sketch at Sketch & Stash. I've used a new stamp & the papers were also bought at the same time & are by Foundations. I wanted the swirly design to mirror her dress.

The challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar this week is 'Birthday Wishes'. As made this card for a colleague's birthday, it should fit there.

Finally at Stamp Something, the theme is 'Something with Flowers.

And now on to my big news! I was thrilled & honoured to be asked to join the team at  the Secret Crafters. Naturally, I said yes immediately. So next Saturday will be my first week. I'm looking forward to joining a team of such lovely & talented of ladies :~) Happy Days!!

So that's it for now. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Thanks so much for looking!

Crafts 4 eternity - Colour recipe

Oh my goodness, it's taken me far longer to post this card than I had intended. I've been suffering with a cold for most of the week so my mojo has been a bit awol, then today has just been hectic. But better late than never, I hope you'll agree (please say yes!), is my card fot this weeks C4E colour recipe challenge

I have been dying to ink up this lil'sweetheart for ages. Well finally here she is! She coloured with Distres Inks & the papers are by Memory Box - Gossamer, I think? I kept her very simple, with a couple of plasticy type flowers I got at the Manchester Craft Show & some adhesive pearls.

Here is the colour inspiration Michele provide for the C4E challenge. Mmmmm, delicious or what?! Check out the awesome designs of my wonderful D-Teamies & play along this week & you could win a choice of 3 of Michele's fab digis from the C4E store

I based this layout on the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday this week.

Romance is in the air all over blogland, so I am also entering this at Stamp Something where there is a Valentine's theme, & Papertake Weekly where they want us to 'Have a Heart'.

At Creative Card Crew, the challenge is to make a card 'For a Loved One', & at Stamp with Fun, the theme is simply, 'Love!'

So are you all set for Valentine's Day? Paul & I are having a weekend away, so things will be a bit quiet here over the next few days, but I hope to get round to say a 'Hello' to a few people I have been neglecting while I've been feeling a bit yucky!

Whatever you are up to, have a great weekend.

Huge Hugs,
Andie xx

My Favourite Things!

It's been a while in the making, but I had to ink up these gorgeous cuties for this week's Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge. I got some lovely presents this Christmas, but this is by far my favourite! A huge 'Thank You' to my awesome, totally fabulous, wonderful friend who spotted a gap in my stamp collection & knew I would give a very loving home to these treasures!

The images are coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Basic Grey - Curio. I cut them out & stuck them against a Magnolia love heart stamp, though you can't really really see the shape of it. The layout is based on the fab sketch at this week's Sketch Saturday, but I took a few liberties, so I jope it still qualifies.

There are a couple of other challenges I created this to enter into.

At Secret Crafters the theme is 'With Love'.

'Love is in the Air' is also the theme at this month's Bunny Zoe's challenge.

Finally, 'Anything Goes' at Stamp Something, so I am entering it there too.

WOW! 5 challenges in one card, that's a record for me! Thanks so much for looking. Hope you're having a good week!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Passion For Promarkers - Distressed!

Happy Tuesday one & all! Time for another fab challenge at Passion for Promarkers. This week my lovely & uber talented D-Teamie, Sue has chosen the theme. She wants your creations to be distressed  or have a shabby chic look. This week's lucky winner will win a £10 gift voucher to spend on the fab goodies available at our sponsor, Joanna Sheen.

My card this week uses, what may just turn out to be, my all time favourite Tilda. At least up to this point! She's Tilda in the Autumn Leaves from the new Aples & Cherries collection. I love how happy she looks & how much fun she is having! I'd like to see more happy Tildas (& Edwins!). She is coloured with Aqua Markers to go with the distressed look.

The DPs are two sides of the same sheet from the Fly a Kite range from October Afternoon. Perfect for the Autumnal feel of the image.

I've been playing about with 3D lately & used it on this image to try & give my image a bit more movement. I cut Tilda out & glued her body to the paper, but used silicone glue to raise her arms, legs & head to varying degrees. I also used it on some of the leaves. It is hard to see it in the photo, but you getter a better idea side on. IRL, I'm really pleased with the effect, but man, what a pain cutting out those little leaves!

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & the leaves around the flowers were cut from a Creatables die. I added adhesive gems too for a little sparkle.

The layout is based on the fab sketch at this week's Just Magnolia challenge.
Stamp Something want to see cards with 'Fall' colours, as do Stamptacular Sunday with their 'Season's Change' challenge.
So I would also like to enter my card for these challenges.

Thanks so much for looking,

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

I Love it when a plan comes together!

In the immortal words of Hannibal Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together!" Did anyone else watch the A-Team? Who was your fave? Definitely Face for me! Sorry, I digress & I haven't even started!! I really love the way this card turned out. So much so, I might even give it to my hubbie to give to me for Xmas, LOL!
I am entering it into 5 challenges this week, yes 5! They all seem to fit nicely, so why not! The sketch is from this weeks Create 4 Fun. I love it & will definitely use it again. Blue, silver & white is the current colour scheme at Colour Create. It's so sophisticated! Unfortunately, in the photo, my silver, looks more grey, but IRL it looks loads better.

Just Magnolia want to see cards that have been distressed. This definitely qualifies on that score. In fact, I must do more distressing, it hides a multitude of sins!! At Secret Crafters the challenge is to make an Easel Card. I was dying to have a go at one of these, so this was the perfect opportunity.

Finally, last but not least, Stamp Something have a fab recipe challenge where they want to see you use, 1 ribbon, 2 papers & 3 embellishments. I used felt ribbon, stripey paper (I don't know where from) & MME vellum (from 2004!). Unfortunately the snowflakes on the vellum are rather spread out & I have managed to cover them all up! The embellies I've used are dew drops, buttons & the flowers, which I sprayed with glimmer mist & added Stickles. I also added Stickles to the ice.
So there you go, Tilda & Edwin all loved up! The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. Hope everyone is having a great week. I'm enjoying reading about everyone's adventures at the NEC. I sure wish I could have gone. Never mind, maybe next year!
Big Hugs!
Andie xx
