Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Way-Hay for Saturday once more & time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge, chosen this week by the uber talented Franz, who has chosen the theme

I LOVE YOU MUM!

Every time a new Magnolia collection comes out, I limit myself to buying just one. This time around Tilda with Winding Flowers was the stand out one for me. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Prima - Botanical. The butterfly was created with a Marianne Design die & the border that doesn't show up very well is a Doo Hickey. I also added tiny amounts of Liquid Pearls amongst the flowers for a bit of texture.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies. This week our fabulous sponsor is The Digi Doodle Shop & our lucky winner will get a $10 voucher to spend there.

I would also like to enter this at Stamp with Fun this week. I have used their wonderful sketch for my layout.

At Truly Scrumptious this fortnight, 'Anything Goes'.

At Totally Gorjuss the theme is 'Pink & Green'.

So what are your plans for the weekend? Today will mostly be spent doing chores :~( Then tomorrow everything will start getting a bit tense & stressful around 3 o'clock. Understandably given we live in Manchester, football will be dominating our activities. Can QPR cause Man City to slip up to allow United to win the Premiership? I'll be more concerned with the battle for 7th place. Can Everton stay ahead of Liverpool? Come on the Toffees!!

So there you go. That's it from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Sketch & Stash DT

Helloooo! Hope everyone is have a happy Easter. Have you had enough chocolate yet? Having given it up for Easter, I'm still enjoying stuffing my face, LOL! However, I just paused long enough to write this post to let you know about the new Sketch N Stash challenge that launches today.

For this card I've inked up another Tiddly Inks, Wryn image & coloured her with Prismas. Have you seen the fab new images that have just been released & the fab celebrations happening over at the Tiddly Inks blog? I love them all! I used Echo Park papers with this & a Stampavie sentiment.

This week we have the wonderful Kevin to thanks for our fab sketch. Check out the gorgeous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies at the Sketch N Stash blog. Play along with us & you stand to win a fab prize.

Our very own Jill has most generously sponsored us this week with a gorgeous Joanna Sheen stamp. Play along with us this fortnight to be in with a chance of winning it.

Happy 2nd birthday to the lovely ladies at Tiddly Inks where their theme this time around is indeed 'Birthdays'.

At Truly Scrumptious, they want you to use lace on you creation. I used pink across the centre behind the image, but the photo doesn't pick it up all that well.

So that's all from me for now. We've got to go home from my Mum & Dad's today in preparation for work again tomorrow. You should have seen Ben's face when he thought he wasn't getting a Lindt gold bunny for Easter this year. He crawled under my bed & cried for a good 10 minutes. It took me ages to persuade him to go see Grandma, because I knew she had come up trumps!

Well I hope you enjoy what's left of your Easter break. Thanks so much for looking.

Andie xx

Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge DT

It's the weekend! Oooh I love it so! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. This time around it's lovely Helen's turn to choose our theme & she has gone for

HUGS & KISSES

I have the perfect sentiment for this challenge from Bildmalarna, so I thought I'd use another Bildmalarna image to sit with it. This was going to be my Valentine's card for my fabulous hubbie until Jack said he didn't like the image. Though he did say it looked a lot better once it was on the card! It's coloured with Prismas & looks a little washed out in artificial light. It's much nicer IRL. The heart is a wooden embellishment with lashing of Candy Cane Stickles. The papers are Memory Box - Brioche.

I am also entering this at Truly Scrumptious, where the theme is 'Love & Hearts'

This week at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge we are sponsored by Crafter's Companion, who are generously giving our winner a £10 voucher to spend at their fabulous store!

So what are you doing this weekend? I'm hoping to fit in a trip to the gym before it starts snowing! Then, I plan to drag the kids outside, kicking & screaming no doubt, to help me build a snowman. I'm not sure who is the biggest kid in this household sometimes, LOL!!

Whatever you are up to, have a wonderful weekend & keep warm!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge - Flowers, Lace & Ribbon

Way Hay for the weekend! Time for another great challenge at the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. It's fabulous Francesca's turn to pick our theme this week & she has gone for

FLOWERS, RIBBON & LACE

After the dull grey of my last card, I can't tell how much I enjoyed colouring this little Sugar Nellie cutie. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Memory Box - Mistletoe.  The flowers were created with a Doo Hickey & McGill mini petals punch.

This little sweetie is one of my faves from the last Fairy Glen release, I can see her getting used a lot. I say a lot. I have too many stamps for any of them to get used too often. I really must look at selling some off on E-bay. Then I can make room to buy more, LOL!!

My fellow D-Teamies at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge also had a lot of fun with this challenge. Hop on over & check out their awesome creations. These week we are joined by the newest members of our team.

These ladies are seriously talented so go check them out & leave them some love.

I based my layout on the fab sketch at Sketch & Stash this week. I used old papers, but my image is seeing ink for the first time.

At Creative Inspirations this week they want to see 'lashings of sparkle'. I don't know about lashings, but she has glitter on her halo, her wings & the flowers in her hair & on her dress. Plus the gems in the flowers. So I guess that's quite a lot!

Lace, Flowers & Ribbon also happen to make the diagonal line on the bingo card at Truly Scrumptious

Hope everyone has fun over the bonfire weekend! Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Papertake Weekly & Passion For Promarkers Double Header!

Good Morning to you & a Happy Tuesday one & all. Buckle your seat belts, I've got a long old post to get through today as I have 2 cards to show you. The first is my GDT card for Papertake Weekly where we want to see cards with

3 DIFFERENT SHAPES
( one can be the card base)

I used this super cutie from the Fairy Glen Xmas release at Sugar Nellie. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are MME Holly Jolly, or is it Jolly Holly?! Of course there is the mandatory glitter every fairy must have, including Glamour Dust on her fur trim & Crackle Glaze sprinkled with pink glitter on her wings. The snowflake was cut with a Spellbinders die & the sentimnet is LOTV.

I love how she turned out & had fun distressing her, which I haven't done for a while. The layout follows the sketch at the current Sugar Bowl challenge.

At Truly Scrumptious the theme is Distressing, as it is at Stamptacular Sunday, so I am entering this card there.

On to my second card of the day. It's my offering for the Passion For Promarkers challenge, where this week the theme was set by my good self & it is,

CHRISTMAS CRITTERS
(ie. Xmas cards with animals on)

I used Christmas Bunnies - Post from last years LOTV Xmas release. It's a shame I couldn't take the photo in daylight as I always hate the radioactive glow they give out in artificial light! The papers are MME. It's hard to see the pattern on the red paper, but it has a lovely self coloured glittery snowflakes. Again with the Glamour Dust on the fur trim & on the snow I used Frosty Lace Stickles. The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch.

This layout is based on the sketch at Sketch Saturday this week.
I am also entering it at Lili of the Valley where the theme is 'Let it Snow'.

So I hope you now pop on over to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies at both Papertake Weekly & Passion For Promarkers. They are all awesome. Play along & you could also win a fabulous prize :~)

***EDITED: LOTV Blog Candy Winner from the Papertake Weekly Blog Hop is

Congratulations!!
E-mail me with your details & I will get you stamp in the post to you :~)

Here are my boys, Jack (the big one) & Ben picking Lisa's name out of the hat. Sorry about the quality of the photos, they soon got over their initial excitement & wouldn't pose for a better one! As you can see Ben has been taking tips from Paul McCartney on how to pose for photos; does he ever have a picture taken without giving a thumbs up!!

Thanks so much for looking,

Xmas 2 in 1

This was supposed to be a quick card & it was until disaster struck! Everything was looking good until I tried to add some subtle twinkle to the teddies eyes with a glitter pen. Unfortunately I managed to turn them into zombies instead! Not the look I was really going for, LOL! Never one to admit defeat I refused to start again & resolved to salvage it with some 3D decoupaging. It would have been a lot quicker to start again I can tell you!! Anyway here it is finally. There is not much else to tell you about it, as I said it was supposed to be simple! Anyway, the layout is based on the fab sketch at Truly Scrumptious & it fits in with the Xmas theme at A Spoonfull of Sugar. I just had to enter there, as I so desparately want the wizard & scarecrow stamp that is one of the prizes!
I hope everyone had a good weekend & has a great week ahead. Thanks for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
