ABC Challenge DT

Oh My Goodness. How did this happen? My post for ABC Challenges didn't apppear & I didn't even notice. I'm usually camped on t'interweb every chance I get. I've been preoccupied over the last 24hours helping Jack with his thesis for his Black belt grading for Taekwon-Do. He's only just turned 10 yesterday & he had to write a thesis! Anyway, I now know a lot more about TKD than I did, LOL!

Anyhoo, on to my card & it's time for another challenge at ABC Challenges where this week we are up to

L for LOVELY LACE  

It's a shame the quality of this photo does not do justice to Gardner Gayle from Little Darlings/Saturated Canary. She's colured with Prismas & the papers are Prima, which are also not as wishy-washy IRL. All the dies are by MFT - Dienamics.

I made this card for a friend to give to her niece. I love this gorgeous Saturated canary image, but then I love them all! The papers are Memory Box, Gossamer I think? The sentiment was computer generated. I covered her dress in Glamour Dust to ensure she looked totally gorgeous.

ABC Challenge DT

This gorgeous Saturated Canary suits me down to the ground. I love colouring long flowing hair & lots of folds in fabric. I didn't entirely do this one justice, but I had fun nonetheless! She's colooured with Promarkers & the papers are Bo Bunny - Gabrielle. The butterfly was cut from the paper & sprinkled wih a little Glamour Dust.

Passion For Promarkers DT

 Hello! Did you think I'd disappeared? It feels like ages since my last post. I'm still finding my mojo is a little unreliable! Nonetheless, it being my turn to choose the theme for this weeks challenge at Passion For Promarkers, I had to dredge up some inspiration from somewhere! I went with the theme of

AUTUMN LEAVES

 My inspiration soon returned once I got cracking on colouring this gorgeous Saturated Canary image from the Little Darlings range. I don't recommend colouring flesh tones in the artificial light of my lounge however! I teamed her with Cosmo Cricket - Nutmeg papers. The fence is a Doo Hickey die & the little leaves were cut with Woodware mini punches.

I am also entering this at Wild Orchid Crafts where the theme is Autumn Colours. The flowers on my card are from WOC.

I used the fab sketch at Crafting Life's Pieces for my layout. Though I just realised I left the sentiment off. I hope that's OK.

At the Saturated Canary Challenge they want to see at least three things on your card beginning with the letter 'B'. Mine are Blooms, Buttons (scattered amongst the leaves), Brown & Bling (just visible amongs the blooms).

So there you go. I'm just hoping this Autumn turns out more like the colours on my card than the wet, grey view out of my window. What is happening to our weather this year? Anyway, here's hoping it gets better.

SHAPED CARDS

I have to admit I don't like making shaped cards. I find I really lack inspiration when it comes to designing them. This is no exception. I've played it safe with an easel card. The gorgeous image is Nevaeh from Saturated Canary & the papers are MME - The Sweetest Thing, Lavender. The swirls & tag were cut with Doo Hickey dies.

Apologies for the quality of the photos. I spent ages trying to get some decent light.

It's such a beautiful song, but it had never felt quite so powerful or so poignant as at that moment. I'll have to stop or I'll start filling up again!

I had a blast colouring this Saturated Canary beauty & kind of confused 'cheerful' with colourful, but I think that's OK! She's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are Basic Grey - Sugar Rush. The flower was created with a Spellbinders die.

So there you go. Did anyone else manage to sit through the Olympics opening ceremony last night. It did look fantastic on TV, especially the Daniel Craig part!! Here's hoping Mark Cavendish can win gold today. Not sure I will be watching the 6 & a half hour road race in it's entirety, but I'll certainly be willing him to victory!

Passion For Promarkers DT

Long time no see! Or at least it's felt that way!! But I'm back with my new card for this week's Passion For Promarkers challenge. This week my wonderful D-Teamie Donna has created a fab sketch for your delectation.

I have resisted for ages, but finally succumbed to getting a few Saturated Canary images. This is the first one I inked up. I love colouring hair & this one was just so satisfying! I think she's called Cerridwen. The papers are Bo Bunny - Gabrielle. There is Glamour Dust on her dress & the little butterflies for a touch of sparkle.

So there you go. It's been nearly a whole fortnight since my last post, so you think I'd have something interesting to tell you. Actually I do! We went to see The Stone Roses on Saturday night & they were just fantastic! I have to say I witnessed quite a few eye-opening things that night. I guess I've led quite a sheltered life! I saw some sights I really wish I hadn't, but it was worth it.
