ABC Challenge DT

Oh My Goodness. How did this happen? My post for ABC Challenges didn't apppear & I didn't even notice. I'm usually camped on t'interweb every chance I get. I've been preoccupied over the last 24hours helping Jack with his thesis for his Black belt grading for Taekwon-Do. He's only just turned 10 yesterday & he had to write a thesis! Anyway, I now know a lot more about TKD than I did, LOL!

Anyhoo, on to my card & it's time for another challenge at ABC Challenges where this week we are up to

L for LOVELY LACE

It's a shame the quality of this photo does not do justice to Gardner Gayle from Little Darlings/Saturated Canary. She's colured with Prismas & the papers are Prima, which are also not as wishy-washy IRL. All the dies are by MFT - Dienamics.

So have you seen the fabulous creations of my lovely D-Teamies at ABC Challenge. Hop on over to check them out. Our lucky winner will win a $25 voucher from My Favourite Things. Ooooh, I want to play!!

I am entering this at the Saturated Canary Challenge blog, where this time around, 'Anything Goes'.

At Cute Card Thursday, they are looking for 'Butterfly Kisses'.

So there you go for now. I'm off to take a well earned rest! There just aren't enough hours in the day. Or the night, for that matter!!

Anyway, thanks so much for looking. Have a great week.

I've coloured it with Distress Inks & the papers are Glitz - Hello Friend. The flower is a fabulous MFT die that I got for my birthday from my bestest blogging buddy, big waves! ABC Challenge DT

Good Morning! Hurrah, January is out of the way & things are already starting to feel a bit lighter for longer (a bit!). It's time for another fab challenge at ABC Challenges. This time a round we're on

G for GOING DOTTY

This is 'Happy Hour' from Kenny K & her gorgeous polka dot dress seemed perfect for this challenge. She's coloured with Promarkers. I had the spotty ribbon in my stash & used this to build my card around. It's generally quite clean & simple. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture & finally flat back gems for extra 'dots', incase I didn't have enough already!

Please pop on over to The ABC Challenges blog to see the wonderful inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies.

We have 2 fabulous sponsors this time around. The first is Little Darlings who are offering 1 lucky winner one of their gorgeous stamps.

The Stamp Fairy kindly gave us images to play with. When I saw this one I knew straight away which papers I wanted to use. I've had these MME Wonderful Winter papers for the best part of 2 years now I think, & they never get a look in.

ABC Challenge DT

Todays the day I'm thrilled to announce my big news. I am joining the fabulous ABC Challenge DT. As I already discovered they are a fabulous group of ladies. Thanks so much for having me!

On to our new challenge & this time around we are on

B for BUTTERFLIES

This gorgeous Saturated Canary suits me down to the ground. I love colouring long flowing hair & lots of folds in fabric. I didn't entirely do this one justice, but I had fun nonetheless! She's colooured with Promarkers & the papers are Bo Bunny - Gabrielle. The butterfly was cut from the paper & sprinkled wih a little Glamour Dust.

So I hope you'll pop on over to the ABC Challenge blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my wonderful D Teamies. Our sponsor for this challenge is the brilliant Bunny Zoe who is offering our lucky winner a £10 gift Voucher.

I coloured this WOJ cutie with Distress Inks & used Fancy Pants Oct 31 papers.

Ben & Jack are away at my parents for half term this week & I really missed treating them to their Halloween party. It's not been the same without them. But I think they had fun nonetheless. FOR A CHILD

I made this for my gorgeous little nephew's 2nd birthday, using this super cute LOTV image. I finally splashed out on a full set of Prisma pencils & used them on this. I like how he turned out, but I think I need to get some better paper. I feel a trip to Hobbycraft coming on! The papers are MME.

Sketch 'N Stash - Hello Little Friend!

Whoo-Hooo, Happy New Year! Has everyone had fun over the festive season? I hope so. So this is my first post of the year & it feels good to be back. I did no crafting over Xmas & I missed it so! Anyway, without further ado, let me show you the card I made using gorgeous Michelle's fab sketch at Sketch & Stash this fortnight.

I coloured this super cute Sugar Nellie image - Hello Little Friend with Distress Inks. The paper is Prima - Botanicals & I used a Spellbinders die to cut the flower. The leaves were cut from a Doo Hickey & McGill punch. That all oldish stash. The ribbon I picked up from Hobbycraft, but hadn't used till now. Obviously, I can't colour a fairy without also using lots of Glamour Dust on the wings & a touch of Viva Decor gold glitter liner on her wand.

Here's the sketch for you to use. I can't wait to see what you make of it. Maybe you got new crafting stash for Xmas too. Be sure to let us know what you got!

We are also thrilled to be sponsored by the wonderful Heather Ellis, home of the Pure Innocence images. She is offering our lucky winner a choice of 3 of her gorgeous digis.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp were this week 'Anything Goes'.

At ABC Challenge, G is for Green. I took this photo inartificial light. it's much more green IRL.

So there you go. Sorry this is a bit late. Ben has been poorly this morning, though seems to be perking up a bit now.

Wishing everyone all the best for a wonderful & prosperous 2012!

Andie xx

Passion For Promarkers & Papaertake Weekly Halloween Double Header

Happy Tuesday one & all! I've got a double helping of scary cards for you today. My first offering is my GDT card for this week's challenge at Papertake Weekly, where we want you use

HALLOWEEN HUES
(ie. purples, oranges, greens, black etc. It doesn't have to be a Halloween card though.)

As you can see, this little Bildmalarna scarecrow is not really that scary at all. That's because this is for my recently turned 1 year old nephew, so I went all out cute & colourful for him instead. He's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Fancy Pants - Oct 31st. I embossed the purple co-ordinations paper & the bow was off a chocolate box or something.

This next card is an altogether much spookier affair. But I love the image & I hope my 8yr old son, Jack will too. This is my DT card for Passion For Promarkers, where lovely Lisa has chosen our theme this week, which is

STARS

This is Mr Punkinhead from Kraftin Kimmie. He was a doddle to colour & I added Distress Stickles to his eyes & mouth to enhance the effect of the light inside his head. It sounds wierd writing it like that, but you know what I mean. The sentiment comes with the image & the papers are Fancy Pants once again.

The layout for both cards is based on the fab sketch at Quixotic Paperie where they have a new monthly challenge back up & running again. Yippee!!

There are also other Halloween themed challenges that I am entering these cards into at Creative Card Crew, Simon Says Stamp, ABC Challenges, where B is for 'Boo!'

I hope you'll now go and check out the fabulous inspiration of my wonderful D-Teamies at Papertake Weekly & Passion For Promarkers & play along with us this week. There are fabulous prizes to be one, including a £20 voucher to spend at Crafters Companion available at Passion For Promarkers. What  re you waiting for!!

Well I hope you are all having a good week so far. Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
