Passion For Promarkers DT

My My how the weeks pass so quickly, it'll soon be Xmas! Time for another challenge at Passion for Promarkers, this week chosen by our fabulous D-Teamie, Nat, who wants to see cards using your favourite colour scheme.

YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR  COMBO

I've gone for lilac, pink & grey, my absolutely totes fave colour combo. This is one of the new Saturated Canary images called Sweater Socks Fairy. She's fab! The papers are Prima - Fairy Belle.

I have been asked how I create the shadow around the figure. Basically I use the 5 (not 50!) shades of grey, either Cool, Warm or in this case, Ice. I use the darker shades dotted closer to the image & work out. Adding more dots where I want the shadow to look darker. I also used paler shades of pink & lilac all through.  I went over all the shadow with Antique White which has the effect of blending the colours & lightning the areas I felt were too dark. I always feel it's mandatory when colouring fairies, it's mandatory to add sparkle. In this instance I added it to the shadow for a change & I love the way it looks.

I hope you'll join us at Passion For Promarkers this week, where we are sponsored by Digi Stamp Boutique. Our lucky winner will win 6 digi images.

I am also entering this at the Saturated Canary Challenge where their theme is Winged Things.

At Totally Gorjuss they want to see cards with dies or punches. I used dies to cut the fishtail banners & the corner flourish.

My layout is based on the fab sketch at Crafting Life's Pieces.

So there you go. That's it from me. Hope this finds everyone out there happy & well & that you are all surviving the summer hols! My boys are doing tennis club this week. So long may this fine weather continue. Sadly I don't think I've got the next Murray brothers on my hands, but as long as they have fun it's all good. Apart from the fact I have to work :~(

Thanks so much for looking.

Divas By Design - Xmas in August

Good Morning Happy Crafters! The Divas are back with another fab challenge for you. I've been noticing more & more Xmas cards out there already. But if you haven't made any yet & needed an excuse to get started here you go, our theme is

XMAS IN AUGUST

This little LOTV cutie is called Moonlight Wishes. I'm ashamed to say she never saw ink last Xmas, but I'm setting that right now. I went for a rather non-traditional colour scheme, using Fancy Pants - St Nick papers. She coloured with Distress Inks & the sentiment is LOTV too. The bauble banner die is by Whimsy & I used the snowflakes from the centres dotted around the card.

So I hope you'll join us this week at Divas By Design & getting cracking with those Chrissie cards. Our prize this week is a surprise gift. Sounds intriguing!!

I am entering this at Lili's Little Fairies where their challenge is also Xmas in August.

At Papertake Weekly the theme is 'Occasion - ally'. My occasion is Xmas.

At Bearly Mine Challenges, Anything Goes.

And at Cute Card Thursday the theme is die-ing to punch. I used the Whimsy decoration banner die.

That's all from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers DT

Good morning! How quickly the weeks are passing & it's time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. This week it was Queen of CAS, Jen's turn to choose our theme. Guess what she chose?

CLEAN & SIMPLE

This little cutie is by Stampendous. The little snowflakes were a happy accident. I practiced stamping the sentiment several times but of course  made a mistake stamping it on my card,so I used the snowflakes from a Martha Stewart border punch to cover it up. They turned out to be my favourite part.

I very, very rarely do CAS, but I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. It was so quick to make, compared to the usual umming & aaahing I usually do when I try & decide which bit to put where.

Go check out the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies on the Passion For Promarkers website. We are sponsored by the lovely people at Letraset this week, who are offering our lucky winner a six pack of Flexmarkers.

I would like to enter this at Cute Card Thursday, where this week, 'Anything Goes'.

So that's all from me for now. Hope you're having a great week. Thanks so much for looking.

Divas By Design DT

Hurrah! We're half way through the working week (nearly!) & it's time for another wonderful challenge at Divas By Design. This week we have another nice simple challenge for you to

USE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR SCHEME

I've been playing with the Sugar Nellie Fairy Glen Stamps again. This is 'No Shell like Home'. It's just too cute! I've coloured her with Distress Inks & added super sparkly silver glitter & gems to her wings. I also gave the snails nice glossy 'homes' by covering their shells with Glossy Accents. The papers are Prima - Rondelle.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the faulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. We are sponsored this week by Iva Nova Chest who sell a fabulous array of charms & flowers & other wonderful goodies.

I am also entering this at The Sugar Bowl where 'Anything Goes'.

I also used sketch #77 at Papertake Weekly for my layout, though I had to leave the sentiment off as it didn't sit so well on my card.

So there you go for now. That's it form me for today. Thanks so much for looking.

I don't usually do 'cute' for my Dad, but I made an exception this time around by using this LOTV softie. I think he's called Cheers bear. The papers are MME - Darling Dear.

Our wonderful sponsor this week, is Clearly Besotted Stamps. Pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

I used the fab layout at Sketch Saturday for my card design, so I would like to enter this there.

At Totally Gorjuss their theme is 'Furtastic'.

At Bearly Mine Challenges 'Anything Goes', so I am entering this there too.

So the royal baby is finally here. Such a happy event, but I feel sorry for all those reporters who've had to stand around waiting for ages for the little prince to arrive!

So that's all from me. Thanks so much for looking.

Divas By Design Tagged!

Hello! Back with my DT card for Divas By Design. This week we want to see cards with

TAGS

This has been my first chance to play with the new Fairy Glen stamps from Sugar Nellie. She coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Prima.

I used my favourite technique for fairy wings. I covered them in Crackle Glaze & then Sprinkled a little Glamour Dust over them. I also added Glamour Dust to her dress to hide the fact I didn't colour it as well as I wanted!

Here's my tag, cut from the Pedastal Tag by Shape EZ, who are our sponsor this week.

Check out the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies at the Divas By Design blog.

I would like to enter this at the Sugar Bowl.

At Totally Gorjuss, they simply want to see something 'Sweet'. Could this little cutie be any sweeter?

That's it from me today. Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers DT

Good morning one & all! Hope you're all feeling full of the joys of summer, now that it's finally arrived! I'm not complaining, but it's actually a bit too hot right now, but it feels good doesn't it?!

Well after the fabulous weekend of sport we've just enjoyed here in Great Britain, it's time for a bit of flag waving, well almost. Our new challenge at Passion For Promarkers this week is to use the

COLOURS OF YOUR FLAG

My Kraftin Kimmie beauties have been a bit neglected of late, so I plucked out Sophia to make a birthday card for my for my friend at work, with whom I was going out to celebrate with a few cocktails. (We had a good time, though my head was a little thick the next day!) The papers are Papermania - Portobello Rd.

I hope you'll pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers website to see the wonderful inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. Our lucky winner this week will receive a prize from our fabulous sponsor, Polkadoodles.

I would like to enter this at Creative Inspirations where the theme is Red, White & Blue.

So is everyone else out swept up in the tide of Murray-mania like me? Wasn't he just awesome. WOW!!! I doubt people outside of the UK can appreciate just how much pressure & media spotlight to try & win Wimbledon Andy Murray was under. I don't think any other single sportsman in the world carries the weight of a nations hopes & dreams on his shoulders in the way he has had to. Over the past 12months he has done Great Britain, Scotland & Dunblane proud. What a fantastic achievement. How long before we're calling him Sir Andy? Don't forget our wonderful British Lions too. What a brilliant weekend of sport we've been revelling in. Bring on the Ashes!
So anyhow. That's all from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
