Passion For Promarkers DT - Beatles!

Way Hay! It's my turn to choose the theme for the new Passion For Promarkers challenge this week. I've gone for something a little different, but hopefully fun. I want to see your creations inspired by a 

BEATLES SONG TITLE

This is 'Angel Gabriel' from LOTV. Such a cute little image & the song that led me to choose this image is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! The paper is Echo Park & I added a little  Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pen over some of the snow flakes to add a touch more sparkle.

I don't have a favourite colour scheme, it depends on my mood. I coloured this sweet LOTV image to match the fab Echo Park - Winter Wishes papers. It's a shame the photo quality doesn't do justice to the purple, blue & silver colour scheme.

Passion For Promarkers DT - Autumn Colours

Good Morning Bloggers! It's lovely Lotta's turn to choose our new challenge theme at Passion For Promarkers this week. As summer starts to fade (not too quickly I hope!), she wants to see cards with 

AUTUMN COLOURS

This is a bit of a change of direction for me. I'm inspired by the cute simplicity of companies like Lawn Fawn & Mama Elephant at  the moment & this card was created with stamps from the Lawn Fawn - Joy to the Woods set. The papers are Cosmo Cricket & the 'sunset' was created with Distress Inks sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer Mist. Did I go a bit OTT on the Fall theme?!!

This is 'My Best Friend' from All Dressed Up & the papers are from MME. Not much else to say really!!

I love this image, but I can't decide if I like the card or not! I thought the papers would look lovely, but they're actually a bit much.

Sorry this is a little late this morning. Posting totally went out of my head when I learned of the sad news about Robin Williams, one of my all time favourite actors & comedians. They say that laughter is the best medicine & I know how much his humour made me happy. What a shame we couldn't do the same for him. RIP xx

Divas By Design DT... Finally!

Didn't quite get chance to post this this morning, but I've finally managed! Here's my card for this week's Divas By Design challenge, where our theme for you this week is 

UNDER THE SEA

I dug out some of my oldest stamps for this challenge. They're all (probably long retired) High Hopes stamps, coloured with Distress Inks. With a touch of white acrylic marker & lots of Glamour Dust! Sadly the photos do not do the sparkle justice. I covered the fish in Glossy Accents & immediately regretted not using Crackle Glaze. But then I accidentally dropped one face down & voila, texture!! So I then had to 'drop' the other too!

This is for our wedding anniversary next month. Not an obvious choice for an anniversary card I hear you cry. But the sentiment on the inside (below) makes it a little more romantic! I actually made him a very similar card years ago. There's a test for him. I wonder if he'll remember - no pressure, lol!

I am entering this at Papertake Weekly & Crafting from the Heart, where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Well, in Dec 2011 I made my first card for the Divas By Design DT. All good things must come to an end & it is with a heavy heart I have decided to step down. I want to try lots of new crafty things. With 2 gorgeous children, an almost full time job & just life in general, crafting time is increasingly scarce to experiment in new directions. My decision also opens the way for some new lovely & mega talented ladies to join the Divas family. I'm sure they will enjoy the journey as much as I have. I'm also grateful for the opportunity to have worked with lots of wonderful crafters on the Divas DT & will miss them all.

 So watch this space to see where my creativity takes me!
