Secret Crafter - For a baby

Happy Saturday one & all! This week lovely Francesca has chosen the  theme at Secret Crafters & wants to see cards

FOR A BABY!

I have to admit to not feeling overly inspired for this challenge as I don't have anyone to make to make baby cards for at the moment, all my friends had babies last year! I'm not sure when I'll get chance to use this & when I do, I better hope it's a boy!!!

As I got into this however, I grew to love this little sleeping cutie from Sugar Nellie. He's coloured with Distress Inks available at the Secret Crafter shop. The paper are scraps from my stash & I used a heart shaped doily, overlaid with a Nellie Snellen die, new in stock at Secret Crafters, here, finished off with Liquid Pearls. I also painted watered down Liquid Pearls onto the cloud to add a but more shimmer. The sentiment is from an old 12x12 scrapbook page of indeterminate origin I'm afraid!

There's not much else to tell you about this card really. Please pop on over to the Secret Crafters blog to check out the gorgeous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Remember, as it's the last challenge of the month it is also
your last chance to be included in this months draw for 5 digis of the winners choice from our fabby sponsor.

Whatever you are up to, have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!

Thanks for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes!

What a fabulous day it has been. I'm not a royalist but the wonderful wedding of William & Kate has brought the country, & beyond together in celebration & it's fantastic! I have to apologise for not posting this earlier, but I got caught up in wedding fervour today, more than I anticipated.

Anyways, here is my DT card fro Crafts 4 Eternity, where our challenge this week is 'Anything Goes!' I've been dying to ink up this Simply Sassy image for ages & couldn't leave her in the packet any longer! I'm jealous of how gorgeous her hair is!

She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers & from the divine Prima Botanicals pad. I went a bit overboard with the Viva Glitter Liner, can you tell?!! The flower was made with EK Success retro flower punches & the swirl is a Magnolia Doo Hickeys die.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Crafts 4 Eternity blog & check out the fabuklous cards of my lovely D-Teamies. No excuses for not joining in this week!

I based my card on this week's sketch at Papertake Weekly, so I am entering my card there.

Cute Card Thursday are also challenging you to use any sketch this week.

At Simon Says Stamp, 'Anything Goes' as they celebrate their 2nd anniversary!

Finally, at Stamptacular Sunday the challenge is to 'Pile it On' & use 5 or more layers. Mine total 5, including the image.

So there you go. I hope everyone has had a lovely day, whatever you have been up to. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,

Crafts for Eternity - Homemade Buttons

Apologies for the somewhat belated posting of this card. I've not been feeling very well through some of this week & my mojo was also under the weather! But I hope you'll forgive me & think it worth the wait!! I made it for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity challenge which is to make your own

HANDMADE BUTTONS

I made my little Easter egg shaped buttons very simply by layering 3 pieces of card together, cutting out the shape & edging them with Distress Inks. I then ran a piece of embroidery thread through 2 small holes I made with a needle. I covered them in Glossy Accents & sprinkled a little glitter over while it was still wet.

This adorable LOTV bunnie was 'lent' to me by the same lovely lady who let me 'borrow' the image for my last card. He's coloured with Distress Inks & Viva glitters were added to the eggs. The dps are gorgeous MME Fine & Dandy- True Blue papers. I followed the sketch for the Allsorts Challenge, but did not get it done in time to enter! The sentiment is computer generated. A bit of ribbon & a little bling & voila

There are a few challenges I'd like to enter this little cutie in at.

Firstly, Lili of the Valley, where the challenge is Easter.

A Spoonfull of Sugar are asking us the 'celebrate'. This card will be for Ben or Jack, i've not decided yet. I need to make another one tonight before the Easter bunny gets here!

Finally Creative Inspirations want to see cards with pets or animals.

I hope you will now pop on over to hte C4E blog to see what my lovely
D-teamies have been up to.

Finally, I'd just like to say a big Thank You to the lovely ladies at Stamptacular Sunday, who chose my entry as one of their top 3 last week. I am thrilled & honoured to display their blinkie on my blog.

Well that's it for now. Better get busy with te other Easter card!
Happy Easter one & All!

Secret Crafters- Colour Theme

Happy Saturday one & all! It's Easter weekend & the weather is holding up, all is well!! It was gorgeous Bridget's turn to choose the theme at Secret Crafters this week. She chose one you'll all love,

PINK, BROWN & CREAM

Furthermore I got the opportunity to ink up an image I'd been longing to get my inky mitts on for ages. I met a lovely lady with oodles of stash, you know who you are - Big Waves!! She let me ink us this gorgeous old Sugar Nellie image by Elizabeth Bell. It has now been rereleased by Belles & Whistles, but this is the original & it's really big!

She's coloured with Distress Inks, available at the Secret Crafter shop, here & the papers are Gossamer by Memory Box, one of my faves! Because the image was so big, there was not room for much in the way of extras. I used Holo Iridescent glitter round the edge of the card again from Secret Crafters, & I threaded a piece of ribbon though some lace behind the image. She's finished off with some hydrangea petals & a bit of bling.

It looks like my lovely D-Teamies at Secret Crafters enjoyed this challenge as much as I did. Hop on over & check out their stunning creations.

I would also like to enter this at a couple of other challenges too.

Cute Card Thursday want to see cards with no text on.

The challenge at Totally Gorjuss is 'Bling it on'.
So that's all for now, thanks for looking!
Happy Easter!

Secret Crafters- Stitching

Good Morning & a Happy Saturday one & all. Big YAY! for the weekend!  It's time for another Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge & this week my fabulous D-Teamie Bea has chosen the theme of

STITCHING

This could be real or faux. I needed to make a birthday card for my son, Jack's 8th birhtday this week & I wasn't sure where to go with the stitching as I did not have time to make an alternative DT card. So the stitching & the whole look of the card is quite simple. But hey, I've put sewing on a male card & I think it looks quite effective when you're stuck for embellishments. I even sewed the buttons on, but you'll have to take my word for that!

So there is not much to say about this. This is a Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy guy, coloured with Distress Inks available at the Secret Crafters shop, here.  My hubbie thought he would make a good card for an 8 year old. When Jack opened it, we said it was a picture of him, but he said he looks too tall! How can he tell? He could be looking up at a door handle or something for all he knows!! The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley & the papers are Cosmo Cricket- Everafter. I've had them a while, so go me for using up old stash!!

I hope you'll now hop on over to the Secret Crafters blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. They are awesome!

I would also like to enter this at Stamp with Fun this week as I used their sketch for my layout.

Simon Says Stamp also want to see see  a 'Card for a Child' & while I can't decide in my own mind how old this boy looks, since I made it for my own son, I'm entering it there too!

Thanks so much for looking,
Big Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity-Embellishment Challenge

I don't know where the weeks go! It does not seem 2 minutes since my last post & I'm already late with this one. Actually I did quite a bit of trial & error, more so than usual!! Can I just say, don't bother trying to Glimmer Mist a feather!

Anyway, on to our challenge this week. If you haven't already seen it at the C4E blog, this week it is an embellishemnt challenge & we want you to use the following items on your card:-
1 A feather
2. A doily
3. A charm

I used a Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy girl that I have reached for on a number of occasions but never actually ended up using. Finally she's been inked up & I just love her. I coloured her with Distress Inks & cut her out with a Nesties die. I also distressed the doily & the feather a little to tone down how white they were. The swirl is a Magnolia die cut I finally bit the bullet & treated myself too from Bunny Zoe's where I also got the bird charm. The papers are Kaisercraft-Secret Bird Society

This week's prize at C4E is this adorable digi, generously donated by my lovely D-Teamie Suzette who owns, Crafty Sentiments. Isn't he adorable?! Pop on over to the C4E blog to see more inspiration from my wonderful  D-Teamies.

I'm also entering this card at Stamptacular Sunday, wher ehte challenge is 'Girls & Swirls'. Also at Totally Gorjuss the challenge is 'Fluffy'. I don't know if birds count as fluffy, but my feather certainly is!

Well that's all for now. Thanks so much for looking. I'll be back in a few hours time, with My Secret Crafter's card!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafters - Our Feathered Friends

Wa Hay! It's my turn to choose this weeks theme at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week.  This week I'd like to see cards, or anything else you care to create, relating to

Our Feathered Friends

That could include birds, or even angels!

I've gone way out of my comfort zone with this one & not used any stamps! All the images are created with Marianne Design Creatables. The birdcage & the bird of paradise are available at the Secret Crafters shop, here. The swirls were made with various different MD dies. I went a bit mad with the glitter pen too & covered the bird with Holo Iridescent glitter, also available here. I love that stuff! The background paper is Basic Grey - Wisteria.

.

This is a wierd one, because I can't decide if I like it or not. I like what is on the card, which BTW look much better IRL - this photo stinks! But I feel like thre is something missing & I don't know how to fix it. Anyhow, I'm giving it to my Mum & Dad this weekend as an early Easter card to go with the birdhouse I made a few weeks ago. So I won't have to worry about it for long!!

As always, my lovely D-teamies have excelled themselves, so I hope you'll pop over to the Secret Crafter blog & show them some love, & hopefully play along with us this week.

I am also entering this at the Creative Inspirations challenge this week, where the theme is 'punches & dies'.

So that's all for now. I hope everyone is having a great weekend & enjoying the fab sunshine.
Big Hugs to one & all!
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - Colour Challenge

Spring is in the air at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week's challenge is  to use a gorgeous colour scheme, green & yellow. How refreshing!!

I've just realised, this is my second card in succession of a girl hugging her teddy. This one though, is by Elisabeth Bell for Belles & Whistles. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the Papers are by Magnolia. The flowers are a mix from Wild Orchid Crafts, Hobbycraft & Bizzy Becs. I used a Cuttlebug die cut in the corner & a few adhesive gems to add a little sparkle.

This is not a colour scheme I would ever have chosen myself, but I love how she turned out. For more inspiration, hop on over to the Crafts 4 Eternity blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-teamies.

I am also entering this card at Papertake Weekly, where this week, 'Anything Goes'

The layout uses the sketch at Sketch Saturday

Allsorts Challenge wants to see cards witth 'Bloomimg Blossoms'.

So there you go. Looks like Spring may be back again, at least for the weekend. So whatever you are up to , make the most of it!

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,

Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge - Butterflies

Do a happy dance for the weekend at last!! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafters where wonderful Wendy has chosen the theme of

BUTTERFLIES!

Perfect for what should be the start of Spring. But as I look out of my wnindow right now, it all looks a bit grey & drab! Where has all the sunshine gone?! Oh course it's the weekend, the lovely weather will all come back again once I'm sitting behind my desk again on Monday morning!

Sorry this is a little late, I've had some blogger issues, but with this card, I wanted to go for a bit of a vintage, grungy look. I'm feeling very inspired by the fabulous Camilla at the moment. & I want to head off in that direction to see where it takes me :~)

I used 'Together' by Bildmalarna. She's coloured with Distress Inks & cut out with Nesties, both available at the Secret Crafter shop. I added the swirls using a Stempelglede stamp. The papers are Prima - Sparkling Spring & I cut out an extra butterfly & 3D'd it in the corner.  I continued the butterfly theme with a Martha Stewart border punch. Some lovely lace, adhesive gems & a little glitter finished it all off.

So now it's time to check out the gorgeous creations of my fellow D-Teamies over at Secret Crafters, they have excelled themselves this week.

I based my card on this week's sketch at Papertake Weekly, so I would like to enter my card there.

Cute Card Thursday want to see 'Couples' on your cards OK, so they are not a conventional couple, but the sure look gorgeous together!

The colour scheme at Colour Create just now is pastels, so this little cutie is being entered there too.

So that's all for now. What does your weekend hold? Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all the UK Mums out there. Mums everywhere should celebrate anyway, because we're all fabulous!! Whatever you are up to, have a great time.

Thanks so much for looking,
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
