Crafts 4 Eternity - #44 & Whiff of Joy/Sketch Saturday

Friday evening & time for another fab challenge at Crafts for Eternity. This week we would like to see you follow the recipe
1. Follow the Sketch
2. Include bird (s)
3. Use pearls

My first card follows the C4E sketch. I made it for my Dad's birthday. He doesn't do cute, so I used this peacock image from Elusive Images. I stamped it with Promarker Pens & coloured with chalk inks & a Brilliance gold inkpad with my finger!

The DPs are K & Co Blue Awning. I also used another Elusive Images feather stamp on Shrink plastic for the embellishment.

Unfortunately I couldn't capture the shimmery effect the gold ink gave in my photos. Please check out the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Play along us this week & you could win 3 digital stamps from the C4E range.

I've also made another card for the Whiff of Joy challenge. I used felt ribbon to satisfy the 'fuzzy' element of the challenge. I used the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday for my layout.

This is coloured with Distress Inks & the DPsare Basic Grey - Kioshi

I added a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts & roughed everything up. I seem to be on a vintage vibe at the moment!

This has been rather a long post so thanks for bearing with me.
Have a great weekend!

Big Hugs!

Passion For Promarkers - Going Green!

Happy Tuesday Everyone! You know what that means! Time for another Passion For Promarkers challenge. This week it's a colour challenge & we want to see you using shades of green in your creations. Our wonderful sponsor is Pink Gem Designs & the lucky winner will win one of their fabulous images.

I have to say, I don't often go for green, unless I'm colouring leaves or grass! So this was actually a struggle for me. I don't have many green DPs either, but nonetheless I've gone all out green!

This little cutie is a Sugar Nellie Manga. I made it for a boy at my son's nursery who was celebrating his 4th birthday. More about that later. But as a result I kept it rather plain. IRL it is actually a bit more interesting than it appears on the photo. The swirl paper is actually flocked & is very touchy feely. The photo has not picked up the ribbon across the middle very well either.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the PFP blog to see the fantastic work of my lovely D-Teamies. They've been excelling themselves yet again! Don't forget to enter our wonderful Aqua Marker giveaway, courtesy of Letraset.

I used the fab sketch at Friday Sketchers for my layout, so I would also like to enter my card there.

As it turns out this card is still in my possession. We were a little late getting to Ben's friend's party. We'd been to see Toy Story 3 at the cinema & it finished a little later than anticipated. I realised there I'd left the card at home & had to quickly buy another. Then we couldn't find the house where the party was being held! Unfortunately Ben must have eaten too many sweets at the cinema, because within 5 minutes of finally getting there, he threw up everywhere. I was just mortified, ever wished the ground would just swallow you up. Needless to say, after I'd apologised about 1000 times, we left! After a lovely bath at home, Ben was feeling fine within the hour! Kids eh, who'd have 'em!!

So there you go. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafty Sentiments GDT #27

Happy Sunday everyone! And sadly, this is my last card as guest designer for Crafty Sentiments. It has been a busy 2 months & I've had the pleasure of working with some fab new designs & more especially, a team of lovely ladies. So THANKS you guys for having me!

I think, quite possibly, of all the cards I've made. This final one has turned out to be my fave! This little lady is Tess. I think she looks like a tom-boy, but she's a girly at heart! She's coloured with Promarkers & the DPs are Daisy Bucket.

I also embossed a piece of orange Coredinations cardstock with my Cuttlebug & sanded it to highlight the pattern (& tone it down a little!). The ribbon I tied with a Bow-Easy. I like how it looks, but I need a bit more practice.

Please pop on over to the Crafty Sentiments blog to see the other fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Join in the fun & see what you could win!

I used the great sketch at Sketch & Stash for my layout. So I would also like to enter my card there too.

Thanks so much for looking. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

2 in 1 - Just for Fun!

I love my DT work & basically I go to work to pay for my crafting fix! Lately, however, it seems like forever since I sat down & made a card just for the heck of it. As a result some of my favourite images are getting neglected. Case in point is this gorgeous City Girl image from Whiff of Joy. I've been dying to ink her up for ages!

The Whiff of Joy blog is having a DT call at present. So I thought, why not try out for one of my favourite stamp companies. The layout is based on Bev's fab sketch. This image reminds me of Charlotte in Sex & the City! She looks sweet but sexy at the same time! I coloured her with Distress Inks & used glossy accents on her glasses.

I am also entering this at Colour Create where the colour combo this week is warm pink, chocolate & white. A bit out of my comfort zone there, but these Basic Grey - Bittersweet papers are perfect. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & the pin is from my lovely PFP D-Teamie, Emma's new shop. Shameless plug for Crafty Emma's Store!
So there you go. Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarker - Distressing!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We've got another fabulous challenge for you at Passion For Promarkers. This week it's one of my favourites, chosen by my lovely D-Teamie, Michele. It's distressing! Yay, I love the texture & aged look you get with distressing!!

We have another fantastic prize for you this week too, provided by our lovely friends at Just Tracys'. They are giving away a set of Oliver's Orchard stamps to this weeks lucky winner!

I made this card for one of Jack's school friends, who loves riding her bike. The image is by Sugar Nellie, called Going for a Spin. The DPs are from Crate Paper (great for distressing). I added Wild Orchid flowers & the birthday wishes are from Crafty Sentiments.

I probably say this every week, but the my D Teamies really enjoyed this challenge to, judging by their stunning creations this week. Please pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog to see what I am talking about & join in the fun.

I would also like to enter this card into this fortnight's Sugar Bowl challenge where there is a great sketch. My blue, ended up turquoise however!

Well, thanks so much for looking. Enjoy your week!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafty Sentiments GDT #26

Sunday's here & time for another Crafty Sentiments challenge. This week we have a lovely sketch for you to follow.
I took a bit of a liberty with this card, using an oval instead of a square as I thought the image suited an oval shape.
This image is another of the new release stamps, Bride with Flowers. As it's a wedding I gave her lots of flowers, mostly cut from punches. I have to confess, the flowers stemmed from a disaster I had with liquid pearls. I really don't get on with that stuff. Firstly all my blobs come out pointy & then I invariably smudge them anyway before they dry!

She is a pretty little thing, & I had lots of fun colouring her dress! I used Promarkers & the DPs are MME - Quite Contrary. The sentiment is also from Crafty Sentiments.

Now it's time to check out the creations of my fellow D Teamies. If you play along this week you could win a fab prize from our sponsor, Ellephantastic!

So I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #42

Good Evening! Is everyone always as glad as I am to get to the weekend! It's Friday evening & we have another fab challenge for you at C4E this week. We want you to,
1. Use the sketch
2. Use Coffee & Cream colours
3. Incorporate a bingo card.

I don't mind admitting being a bit stumped as to what image I was going to use with a bingo card for this challenge. Then I remembered this lovely Mo Manning image called Mummu. I think she looks like she just got lucky at Gala & won the jackpot!!
She's coloured with Promarkers & the DPs are Basic Grey Cappella. The lace & buttons are from my stash.

I've kept this pretty simple & faithful to the sketch. I just love the image. It is such a pleasure to colour.

So I hope you will now hop on over to the C4e blog to check out the gorgeous work of my fellow D-Teamie. It looks like they had as much fun as I did with this sketch. Their cards are all wonderful. I hope you'll play along this week & you could win a set of Michele's super digis.

Wishing you all a brilliant weekend. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafty Sentiments GDT #26 - Digi Sneak Peak!

Happy Sunday, one & all! I'm rather late with this today as I'm at my parents house & I've had to wait forever, for my turn at the computer. As I write this, my hubby is squeaking for his turn!
Anyway, finally I can post my card for today's Crafty Sentiments challenge, where this week we want you to make a card using two different patterned papers.

I've used another of the upcoming digi images to be released on 19th July. I love the expression on this little bunny's face! He's coloured with Promarkers & my papers are old Fancy Pants.

I hope you'll pop over to the Craft Sentiments blog where you'll find loads more fabulous inspiration from my lovely D-Teamies & you'll see the prize awaiting this week's winner. There is also more information there about tomorrow's new stamp release & the week long blog hop we are having to celebrate. To be in with a chance of winning all 5 of the new designs you'll need to start there tomorrow & come back to see me as I will have the pleasure of showcasing one of the new images. However, to be in with a chance of winning you'll have to grab the blog hop badge in my side bar & display it on your blog too.
So, I'm not going to say too much more. Suffice to say, I hope I'll see you back here tomorrow. Thnks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge #41

OMG! Where does the week go? But thank goodness it does & the weekend is upon us once again!! That means we have another great challenge for you at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week we want you to,
1. Follow Michele's lovely sketch
2. Use a tab
3. Make a Thank You card.

I'm a bit predictable when it comes to Thank You cards I always use this same Tilda & Whiff of Joy sentiment. She's coloured with Distress Inks & I added Glossy Accents covered in Diamond Dust on the roses.

The DPs are old from K & Co. Well done me for using up old stash!! I think the lace & hearts are from Quixotic Paperie. The flower was created with punches.

So there you go. Not much to say about this little cutie. To be honest she does look better IRL. But now it's to time to pop on over to the C4E blog, where, yet again my lovely D-Teamies have been workig their little socks off for your delectation & have come up with some gorgeous creations. Join us this week & you could be the lucky winner of 2 digis of your choice from Michele's fab selection.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend. My sister is over from France & I can't wait to see her & my beautiful little niece.
Thanks so much for looking,

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Passion For Promarkers - Give Us A Laugh!

Happy Tuesday one & all! It's challenge time at Passion for Promarkers once again & my lovely D Teamie, Emma, has come up with a challenge I just know you are going to have fun with - quite literally!! This week we want you to make us laugh!

To help inspire you, the lovely people at The Craft Garden are sponsoring us, with a £10 voucher, the prize for the lucky winner!

I have to confess, I found this a bit tricky. I don't often do 'comedy' cards. In part because, I'm not sure my sense of humour is always on the same wavelength as other peoples! But it was my friend's birthday on Sunday & I made this card for her as she is 5 months pregnant & I thought it was good advice. Chocolate always worked for me when I was expecting!

The image is a digi from Bugaboo. They have a host of humerous images, I really enjoyed my trawl through their website. The DPs are Basic Grey Kioshi.

I based my layout on the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday & kept it pretty simple to let the image & the punchline stand out.

So tell me, who makes you laugh? Not many comedians make me laugh out loud. But I do love Peter Kay, John Bishop & Vic & Bob. I've always got time for Monty Python. Their films are hilarious, but my all time favourite is the Spanish Inquisition sketch!

I'm sure you'll have real fun with this challenge. Please pop on over to the PFP blog to see the wonderful creations of my felow D-Teamies. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,

Andie xx

Crafty Sentiments GDT #25 - Another Sneak Peak!

Happy Independence Day & Canada Day to everyone out there celebrating today!
We've got a lovely sketch challenge for you at Crafty Sentiments this week. Plenty to get your teeth into with this one!
It's my pleasure to bring you another sneak peak of the new range of digis that will be available at Crafty Sentiments from July 17th. This cute little bunny is called Flopsy. She's coloured with Promarkers & I've used DPs by Melissa Frances.

I used a big flat flower to echo the flower Flopsy is holding with another CS sentiment stamp. The corners where done with a Martha Stweart punch. I added flat back pearls for a bit of texture & that's it!

But you don't have to wait till July 17th to have a go at colouring one of these cuties. Hop on over to the Crafty Sentiments blog to see the fabulous creations of my lovely D Teamies, & while you're there grab yourself a fabulous digi freebie. Join us for this week's challenge, as we are looking for future guest designers, & you could be the lucky winner of this gorgeous stamp, Amy on a Cloud.

Just a reminder too that on July 12th there is another new stamp release & we are celebrating in style with a week long blog hop. Find more details here. You will need to snag the badge in my sidebar, then if you join us for the blog hop you could win all of the new release. How cool is that?!
So that's all for now. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend & the weather stays nice wherever you are. Thanks for looking!
Big Hugs for you All,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity #40

We've got another fab challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity this week. I had a lot of fun with this one! This week we want you to
1. Follow the sketch
2. Include stripes
3. Add some bunting

I chose a Fourth July theme for a special friend & used this cute Statue of Liberty stamp from CC Designs. She's coloured with Distress Inks.

My DP is by Magnolia Ink & the bunting was just cut from DP & cardstock. You can probably tell, LOL! The stars are from Quixotic Paperie.

So this is all very straightforward & I don't really have anything else to tell you about it! But I have to direct you over to check out the fabulous creations of my fellow Crafts 4 Eternity D-Teamies.
I'd also like to enter this at this week's Stamptacular Sunday where the challenge is Stars & Stripes!
Thanks for looking. Have a great weekend, especially our American friends!
Big Hugs,
Andie xx
