Passion For Promarkers getting MEGA-ly Sentimental!

Ooops, I made a mistake not posting this on Tues. I mentioned our new challenge at Passion For Promarkers when I should have been showing you my card for it. Duh! It's hard work being me sometimes! Our theme for you for our final mega challenge of the year is to

INCLUDE A SENTIMENT

This super cute 'snow family' is by LOTV & the sentiment is a Memory Box die. Very simple, but then the sentiment does not need much in the way of distraction with fancy papers.

Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is a nice easy one “include a sentiment”.  You are welcome to make Christmas cards but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation as long as it includes a sentiment of some kind.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.
So now for the exciting bit – the prizes!
Letraset are generously offering one lucky a winner a pack of their Autumn/Winter Promarkers Ltd Edition set!

DigiStamp Boutique are generously offering one lucky winner a prize of a £10 voucher to spend in her store.

Pretty awesome huh?! So what are you waiting for? Don't worry you've got 4 weeks to enter. We understand there's a lot of other stuff gets in the way of crafting, this time of year!

I am also entering this at Creative Inspirations where their theme is Traditional Christmas colours.

At Simon Says Stamp their challenge is 'Let it Snow'.

At Cute Card Thursday, they are on a 'Christmas catch up'. Well I've gained a bit of ground!

So there you go. Better late than never! I'm a bit closer to being ready for Xmas. Got some more pressies bought today. A bit more weight lifted. I need to get on t'interweb now & get some more stuff, if I can find it. In the meantime, thanks for looking.

CAS & Passion For Promarkers

Good Evening! Though I'd pop up a quick post with the card I made for my sister's birthday

I also wanted to let you know that the Xmas challenge is also now up at Passion For Promarkers. Pop on over there to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. I hope you'll join us & play along over the next 4 weeks. We've a host of fabulous prizes up for grabs, so grab your Promarkers & get colouring!

So there you go. As I said just a quickie. Thanks for looking.

Divas By Design are feeling Festive

Good Morning! It's challenge time once more at Divas By Design. Another nice easy one for you this week, as given the time of year, we're

FEELING FESTIVE

When I was deciding which stamp to use, I heard some crying from my stamp box & it was my Tildas who were feeling very unloved & neglected. So I chose this one & lavished her with love & care. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are by First Edition, from last Xmas.

You need to get yourself on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies.

I would like to enter this at Bearly-Mine Challenges, where their theme is to use a Xmas sentiment.

At Papertake Weekly, Anything Goes, & likewise at Cute Card Thursday.

At Totally Gorjuss, they want to see snow. Midweek Magnolias are also dreaming of a white Xmas & want to see snow.

So there you go for now. Hope you are all getting ready for Xmas. I'm part way there, but really lacking inspiration for hubby's present this year, which is starting to stress me out! I love buying presents for people, but it is hard work getting it right!

Anyway, thanks so much for looking. Hope you're having a good week.

Passion For Promarkers - Family

Good Morning! I'm back with my Passion For Promarkers DT card, where this week, my lovely D-Teamie Donna, has chosen the theme of

FAMILY
(ie, a card for a family member)

This is the card I made for my hubbie, Paul's 40th birthday. He's a bit (lot!) of a gamer. This image is 'High Score Hugh' from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. OK the stomach is a little larger (only a little!) & the hair a little bit greyer (not much!) than Paul's, but otherwise he's an almost spot on likeness! The papers are MME - All Spice.

I hope you'll pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog & check out the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Our sponsor this week is Michele R Designs who is most generously offering our lucky winner $10 worth of her fab digi papers.

So there you go for now.  Hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks so much for looking.

Spotlight on Passion For Promarkers

Good morning & a Happy Tuesday one & all! Time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. Our theme is chosen by the wonderful, Jane. She wants to see your cards

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

I kept this very simple as my image is so large. This is an old (but classic) Penny Black stamp called Fashionably Wrapped. She's so chic & elegant, she totally reminds me of me... not! I wish!!

I've never used this technique before & in all honestly, for this card at least the jury is out! My favourite bit is the red Stickles on the holly berries. I have to say, it was very quick & easy to make. But I wish I'd left room for a sentiment.

So how're you getting on with your Xmas cards? I need to get cracking on mine. But I got a bunch of birthdays as well. Oooh I'm scaring myself now! Don't you find it hard to choose the right image or look for those most important in your life. Because I make my own cards, I want the recipients to enjoy them almost as much as the present I buy. That's quite a pressure to put myself under! Anyhoo, I'll have to get cracking sooner rather than later.

So that's it from me for now.
Thanks so much for looking,

Getting Digi with it at Divas By Design!

Hello! Oooh I'm rather late posting this as our latest challenge at Divas By Design went live this morning. I've had such a busy day I'm only just getting round to doing it. Our theme for this week is to

USE A DIGI

I love the cute robin images at Bugaboo. This one is Winter Scarf. He's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are by Memory Box (love these!). The fir die is by Marianne Design.

We are thrilled to be sponsored, this week by Bugaboo. Pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the fabulous creations my wonderful D-Teamies have made with more Bugaboo images.

I would like to enter this at Papertake Weekly, where 'Anything Goes'.

At Totally Gorjuss, 'Anything Goes with Snow'.

So what's taken me so long to get around to writing this post. Well, yes OK I should have had it scheduled, but I thought I'd have time to do it before work this morning. But this evening, I went to see Jack perform, with his school class at the Royal Northern College of Music. He has a couple of lines & sang brilliantly. I am sooooooo proud of him.

So there you go for now.. Thanks so much for looking.

Divas by Design are getting Spooked!

Good Morning! There are lots of challenges around Blogland at the moment in preparation for Halloween. At Divas By Design, we're no exception because this week we're getting

SPOOKED!

This is Wolf Man by Mayzy Art. As soon as I saw him I knew he was perfect for my boys. He is right up their street, they love monsters, as long as they're not too scary. He's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are Fancy Pants-Oct 31.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Divas by Design blog, where my fabulous D-Teamies have really had fun this week & excelled themselves. Our fabulous sponsor this week is Stamp & Create.

I would like to enter this at The Pink Elephant, where their theme is 'Trick or Treat.

I also used the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday for my layout.

Finally I just wanted to show off! Well not me, but my super smart son Jack, who passed both his entrance exams to Grammar school with flying colours! We had lots of tears & stress in the run up & preparation. I do not think any child should have to endure that at the age of 10, but he nonetheless came through it. We're so proud of him!

So that's all from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Spooky Goings on at Passion For Promarkers

Good Morning Passionistas & all the other lovely people of Blogland! Tuesday means it's time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. With Halloween just around the corner, this week's theme, chosen by my wonderful D-Teamie, Anna, is to make it

SPOOKY

I made this card for my niece, Emma. The digi I've used is another super cutie from A Random Fan. This one is called Arie the Witch. Perfect for Halloween! The papers are Fancy Pants-Oct 31. The railings were cut from a Cheery Lynn die & the teen tiny bats from a CC Cutter.

I hope you'll pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog to see the fantastic creations of my fellow D-Teamies. I hope you'll play along with us & you could win a £10 voucher to spend at Digi Stamp Boutique.

I used the sketch at  Crafting Life's Pieces for my layout, so I would like to enter this card there.

I don't know if my little bats are big enough to count but I hope they will be enough to enter at Totally Gorjuss where the challenge is 'Wing & Things.

At The Pink Elephant they have fantastic Halloween photo inspiration.

At Sweet Stampin, the theme is Halloween

I am super excited about Halloween this year. Although we won't be there for Halloween itself, we are going to Copenhagen for a few days just before Halloween. Apparently Tivoli Gardens is decked out for Halloween prior to the big event itself & it's fantastic by all accounts. Don't tell my hubbie though. It's all a big surprise for his 40th in November, but I've had to arrange it over half term so the boys can come. We are so excited we could burst, but Paul has no idea. I can't believe how well the boys have done to keep it all secret! It's OK though, Paul never reads my blog so I think our secret will still be safe.

So that's all from me for now. Hope you all have a good week. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Casing Craft Stamper For the Weekend

Well Hello! I've got something a bit different (for me at least) to show you tonight. I've been playing with my Promarkers & Distress Inks on the same card to create something way out of my comfort zone.

A very, (very) similar card to this appeared in September's issue of Craft Stamper & was inspired by the creations of Kay Carley. The stamps are JOFY. I just love their simplicity. A bit of glitter & gold embossing just gives it a bit of a WOW factor, in an understated way - does that make sense?!

I made it for a colleague at work who was leaving for another office today. It's perfect for those people for whom 'cute' may not quite be appropriate. Anyway, I hope you like it. I've got my eye on another JOFY Xmas set to make those cards I need to make a lot of. I'll let you see my creations when they're done.

I am entering this at Simon Says Stamp where they want you to used a stamped image, rather than a digi.

Also, at Stamping For the Weekend, 'Anything Goes.'

So what are you up to this weekend? I think I might pop over to Leigh for the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show tomorrow. See if I can't find the stamps I'm after there & a few others no doubt! Say Hello if you see me. I'm rather tall & still look pretty much like the photo on my blog, but the wrinkles are a little deeper. I blame my children for that, LOL!! Whatever you are up to have a good weekend.

Thanks so much for looking.

Andie xx

Lacey Xmas

Good Morning! Back with another fab challenge at Divas By Design. In contrast to the CAS cards last week, this time around we want to see your creations that have

3 LAYERS OR MORE

This little cutie is 'Knitted with Love' by Sugar Nellie. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Marianne Design. The die was cut with a DooHickey.

Check out the fabulous DT inspiration at the Divas By Design blog. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles.

I am entering this at Deep Ocean Challenge where the theme is 'Christmas is around the corner.

Thanks so much for looking.

A Random Fan - Arie Walking

Hello! I've got some exciting news to share today. Lovely Sherry at A Random Fan contacted me to colour some images for her & turn them into cards. After looking at her Etsy shop full of uber cute digi images it took me all of a nano second to say yes. I'm thrilled therefore, to show you the first card I made for her.

This is Arie Walking. Isn't Arie a lovely name & she's so cute! I've coloured her with Promarkers & the papers are MME -Fiddlesticks. The flowers are Do-Hickeys with a Joy Crafts branch behind.

So what do you think? She's such a sweetie. Love her little dog too. Check her out here & all the other fabulous little people that Shelly has created.

I am entering this at Papertake Weekly, where this week 'Anything Goes'.

At Top Tip Tuesday, the theme is 'Flowers', so I am entering there too.

Well that's all for me for now. Thank Heavens the weekend is here at last. Whatever you are up to, have fun.

Andie xx

Show us your Legs at Passion For Promarkers

Good Morning one & all! Time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. I say fab, because I chose the theme this week & it is

LOTS OF LEGS
(ie. images with 3 or more legs in them. You can count tables & chairs too, even a three-legged stool!)

I've been dying to colour this image since I first saw it. It's a digi from Sugar Nellie called 'Little Helpers'. Those little bunnies are just too cute! The papers are Bazill Basics & the trees were cut with a Dee's Distinctively Die, with a little glitter added. You can just about make out the Polar White Flower Soft I used on Santa's fur trims.

So I hope you'll pop on over to the Passion For Promarkers blog & check out the wonderful inspiration of my brilliant D-Teamies. Our lucky winner, this week will win a pack of Flexmarkers from the lovely people at Letraset

www.letraset.com

I am entering this at Sketch Saturday where I used the nice simple sketch for my layout.

At the Sugar Bowl, 'Anything Sugar Nellie Goes'. 'Anything Goes is also the theme at Christmas Card Challenges.

At Totally Gorjuss, they want to see cards using traditional Xmas colours.

So there you go for now. Not much to tell you about at the moment. Family life is revolving around Jack sitting his entrance exam for Sale Grammar this Saturday. Poor little mite, he just wants to get it over & done with. He's done so many test papers of late, but is doing really well in them, so I just hope that it all comes together for him on Saturday morning.
PLEASE LEAVE HIM A GOOD LUCK COMMENT TO GIVE HIM A LITTLE BOOST.

Well that's all from me for now. Have a great week.

Divas By Design - Not Sure!

Hello! I'm back with my card for the new Divas By Design challenge. Our theme for you this week, is to make your creations

MONOCHROME

The DT were all given Dilly Beans images to play with for this challenge. This is Anna Framed. I coloured her with Promarkers & added Frosted Lace Stickles all over her hair.
I have to admit, this one takes me out of my comfort zone, not only because of the monochrome colouring, but then I made it clean & simple. I agonised over this for so long. I just couldn't decide if looked all right. I'm still not sure.

Dilly Beans Digi Stamps is our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge. Many Thanks to them for providing the DT's images. Pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies.

I am entering this at Bearly Mine Challenges where this week 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks so much for looking. Hope you're all having a good week.

Passion For Promarkers - Eventually!

I'm rather late with this card for this week's Passion For Promarkers challenge, but I got there eventually! Our theme for this week is

EMBOSSING
(either dry or heat)

This little Nellie Snellen cutie is adorable, (Very similar to LOTV!). The papers are Marianne Design. The snowflake dies are Spellbinders & this is where the  embossing comes in. I covered them with Frantage. This was my first experiment with it. I love it when I see it on other people's cards, but I'm petrified of ruining my image so I have to trial it a bit more first!

Apologies for the quality of my photos. Now that Autumn is here, it is so much harder to get decent light.

I hope you'll join us at Passion For Promarkers this week. Our wonderful sponsor is Digi Stamp Boutique.

DigiStamp Boutique logo

I used the fab sketch at Bearly Mine Designs for my layout, so I would like to enter my card there.

At Papertake Weekly, they want you to make it sparkle. I hope you can seen the Glamour Dust I added to the snow & Deely Boppers (is that what they're called?)

So that's all from me for now. Whoop whoop for it being Friday, the weekend is almost here. Whatever you are up to, have a good one.

Thanks so much for looking,

Divas By Design - Happy Anniversary

Morning Blogland. Time for another fab challenge at Divas By Design & this week our theme is

WEDDINGS & ANNIVERSARIES

I went for anniversaries as it just happened to have been mine & Paul's wedding anniversary on the Monday just gone. Hence the date on the card. 12yrs of wedded bliss!!! My image is a darling LOTV stamp, coloured with Distress inks. The papers are MME - Portobello Rd. Big love to my wonderful friend who sent them to me xx. The flag die is from La La Land. Because it was for my hubby & kept the embellishment to a minimum.

So I hope you'll join us for this challenge. Pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the wonderful inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. Our sponsors, this week are the fabulous LOTV.

I used the lovely sketch at Sketch Saturday this week for my layout. So I would like to enter my card there.

I am also entering this at Totally Gorjuss where 'Anything Goes'.

So that's all from me for now. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Passion For Promarkers - Girly Pearly

Hello! Back again with another card for the Passion For Promarkers DT. This week our wonderful D-Teamie, Kelly has chosen our theme & wants to see creations that are

PINK & GIRLY

My Mojo has been missing a little of late, but couldn't stay away for too long when faced with this adorable LOTV cutie. I bought her last year & she has only just seen ink (tut, tut). The papers are Fancy Pants - Winterland & the snowflakes cut with a Joy Crafts die.

I added a little pink glitter to her crown & Glamour Dust on the snowflakes. I'm worried though, that she's going to catch a chill without a coat, LOL!

At Passion For Promarkers we're sponsored by the lovely people at Letraset who are offering this week's lucky winner a 6 pack of Flexmarkers.

Link_156x120

Please pop on over to the PFP blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

I am entering this at Crafting Life's Pieces where I flipped their fab sketch for my layout.

At the LOTV Monthly Challenge, they want to see cards using Ribbon or Lace.

At Lili's Little Fairies, shortly to become Crafty Little Fairies, they want to see cards without flowers.

I'm hoping the cheesecloth & glitter I used is enough to merit inclusion into this weeks Totally Gorjuss challenge which is to use texture.

At Simon Says Stamp, Anything Goes.

Oooh that's a lot of challenges for me. I don't normally enter so many!

Well I hope you are all having a good week. My boys don't go back to school till Sept 9th, so I am off with them this week. We're off to Chester Zoo tomorrow. They love animals even though we have no pets, & are so excited about it. The weather is going to be good, so it should be fun. Today though, I need to get in the garden, the weeds are starting to take over again. Grrrr! It detracts from my crafting time!

Whatever you are up to, have fun.

Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers DT

My My how the weeks pass so quickly, it'll soon be Xmas! Time for another challenge at Passion for Promarkers, this week chosen by our fabulous D-Teamie, Nat, who wants to see cards using your favourite colour scheme.

YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR  COMBO

I've gone for lilac, pink & grey, my absolutely totes fave colour combo. This is one of the new Saturated Canary images called Sweater Socks Fairy. She's fab! The papers are Prima - Fairy Belle.

I have been asked how I create the shadow around the figure. Basically I use the 5 (not 50!) shades of grey, either Cool, Warm or in this case, Ice. I use the darker shades dotted closer to the image & work out. Adding more dots where I want the shadow to look darker. I also used paler shades of pink & lilac all through.  I went over all the shadow with Antique White which has the effect of blending the colours & lightning the areas I felt were too dark. I always feel it's mandatory when colouring fairies, it's mandatory to add sparkle. In this instance I added it to the shadow for a change & I love the way it looks.

I hope you'll join us at Passion For Promarkers this week, where we are sponsored by Digi Stamp Boutique. Our lucky winner will win 6 digi images.

DigiStamp Boutique logo

I am also entering this at the Saturated Canary Challenge where their theme is Winged Things.

At Totally Gorjuss they want to see cards with dies or punches. I used dies to cut the fishtail banners & the corner flourish.

My layout is based on the fab sketch at Crafting Life's Pieces.

So there you go. That's it from me. Hope this finds everyone out there happy & well & that you are all surviving the summer hols! My boys are doing tennis club this week. So long may this fine weather continue. Sadly I don't think I've got the next Murray brothers on my hands, but as long as they have fun it's all good. Apart from the fact I have to work :~(

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Divas By Design - Xmas in August

Good Morning Happy Crafters! The Divas are back with another fab challenge for you. I've been noticing more & more Xmas cards out there already. But if you haven't made any yet & needed an excuse to get started here you go, our theme is

XMAS IN AUGUST

This little LOTV cutie is called Moonlight Wishes. I'm ashamed to say she never saw ink last Xmas, but I'm setting that right now. I went for a rather non-traditional colour scheme, using Fancy Pants - St Nick papers. She coloured with Distress Inks & the sentiment is LOTV too. The bauble banner die is by Whimsy & I used the snowflakes from the centres dotted around the card.

So I hope you'll join us this week at Divas By Design & getting cracking with those Chrissie cards. Our prize this week is a surprise gift. Sounds intriguing!!

I am entering this at Lili's Little Fairies where their challenge is also Xmas in August.

At Papertake Weekly the theme is 'Occasion - ally'. My occasion is Xmas.

At Bearly Mine Challenges, Anything Goes.

And at Cute Card Thursday the theme is die-ing to punch. I used the Whimsy decoration banner die.

That's all from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
