Sugar Bowl for my sister!

Just a quickie to share the card I made for my sister's birthday later this week. I wanted to make a card that reflects how beautiful she really is. I think this Leann Ellis image from sugar Nellie fits the bill.

I stamped the image twice. I coloured one with Distress Inks, & cut round the main figure. The other I coloured the background, again with DIs, & sprayed it with Cosmic Shimmer Mist - Angel Mist. I pieced the main image on the background & added glitter for extra sparkle. I added more Cosmic Shimmer to the flower I created with Grungepaper, cut from Paper Artsy dies. The paper are SEI & are foiled. They are my faves, nothing but the best for my sister.

I used the fabulous sketch at the current Sugar Bowl Challenge. I'm also entering this at Papertake Weekly where the theme is 'Cut it Out'. My die cut flowers fit the bill there.

So is it cold enough for you? It's Baltic here, but no snow! I love the snow for the reaction of the children. However, it soon became a pain last year, so my symathies go out to those who have it bad. Snuggle up & keep warm!

Thnaks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity - Stars!

Hurrah!!! It's the weekend & about time too! Time for another fab challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week we have another great sketch for you, along with the theme 'Stars'.

I coloured this uber-cute LOTV image with Distress Inks & jazzed it up with a few extras. I added a touch of glitter to the fur trim on his hat & used Glistening Snow Writer on the snow.

The papers are Memory Box Mistletoe again (lurve them!) & the lace is from Bunny Zoe. The star is a Xmas decoration, given me by wonderful Dena. I coated lightly it with an Adirondack acrylic paint Dabber on Pearl.

I'm not going overboard on my Xmas card embellishments, so they won't cost me an arm & a leg in the post! I hope you'll join in with this week's challenge & pop on over to the C4E blog to see the wonderful inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies.

I have also made this card to fit with a couple of other challenges. First off, at A Spoonfull of Sugar, 'Anything Goes'. At Simon Says Stamp, the theme is 'Let it Snow'.

Thanks so much for looking. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for Tea!

This is a rather belated 'Thank You' card for 2 rather lovely & very generous ladies I met at the NEC who bought me my tea. Actually tea is a massive understatement, but it fits better with the image on my card if I call it that!

I'm entering it into this weeks LOTV challenge where the theme is 'Glitter & Glitz'. To be fair there may not be enough of either on this card for it to qualify & what there is, the photos have not picked up very well. I glittered round the image & the sentiment, added a sprinkling to the flowers on her hat & drenched the flowers in the stuff!

Adorable little Rosie is coloured with my long neglected Distress Inks & if you look really hard, you can just about see I added Glossy Accents to the crockery. The design paper is from Papermania & the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I based my layout on this weeks fab sketch at Cute Card Thursday & the colour scheme was chosen to fit with gorgeous theme at Colour Create of  Robin's Egg blue, Seafoam green & cream.

So there you go! Hope you like her. Thanks so much for looking.

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS BLOG HOP!

WELCOME TO THE PASSION FOR PROMARKERS BLOG HOP!!

Over at Passion for promarkers challenge this week we are celebrating the change of design teams with a blog hop. I’m sure you are as excited as I am as there are lots of lovely goodies up for grabs!! We also have a few new faces on the design team so I hope you will leave them a nice comment to welcome them.

Firstly if you’ve arrived at my blog from the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog you are in the right place, if not return to the challenge blog and start your hop again. Our blog hop challenge will last for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to enter your card (or cards) and hop around the whole design team.

Our challenge theme for the next two weeks is “old & new” i.e. a brand new stamp/digi with old papers etc. Please can you tell us your old and new items in your post. Don’t forget to use your promarkers or aqua markers to be included in our prize draw.

My Tilda is from last year's Xmas collection & is coloured with Promarkers. The charm is old too. New are these gorgeous Memory Box Mistletoe papers & the lace I picked up at the NEC. The sentiment is from the fab new collection at LOTV. I added glitter round the edge, on her headband & on the roses & Glossy Accents to make the holly leaves look shiny.

As you’ve read on the challenge blog the design team are also offering some candy of their own, so please leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly draw a winner for a promarker prize courtesy of Letraset.

You also have a “mystery word” to find and my contribution is the letter “C”. Make a note of my letter and then proceed to Anja for the next part of the hop. If you get lost on the hop at all just return to the challenge blog for full directions.

I just want to let you know the wonderful prizes up for grabs for our blog hop challenge:

Letraset are offering a full set of Aqua Markers to one lucky winner *woohoo*.

Wendy at The Secret Crafter is offering a Basic Grey ‘Oliver’ paper pad

Emma at Crafty Emma’s Store is offering a 12 pack of Aqua Markers

Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique is offering 6 digi images from her shop

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge and also have fun taking part in our blog hop. Don’t forget you need to “hop” on over to Anja now and leave her a comment and collect your next “mystery” letter. Have fun and good luck!

It's going to leave a big hole in my week, now that we're swapping over teams for Passion For Promarkers. I'd just like to wish the incoming team all the very best & to my wonderful DT colleagues over the last 6 months, it's been fun & I love you all!! I'd also like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to all the lovely talented people who have entered the PFP challenges over the last 6 months, especially those kind enough to leave a comment on my blog. Keep in touch :~)

I also created this card with a couple of ther challenges in mind. The layout is based on this weeks fab sketch at Create 4 Fun, & I added sparkle to fit in with the theme at Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers - Stitching & Distressing

Good Morning! Time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. This week my lovely D-Teamie Sue has chosen a theme of Stitching (faux or real) & Distressing. Plenty to get your teeth into there. This weeks winner will get a £10 voucher to spend at Stampeezee.

I chose Tilda & Edwin from the Autumn collection. They're supposed to be brother & sister, but I conveniently ignored that idea to put a romantic slant on this card. I created the mistletoe with a DooHickey die & added stckles for the berries.

I coloured the image with Aqua Markers & the DPs are MME - The Merry Days of Christmas. The snowflakes are a mix of the other Magnolia DooHickey in the set (what a rip they are pricewise!) & a Martha Stewart punch. I added self adhesive crystals

I based my layout on the current fab sketch at Sketch & Stash so I am entering this card there too.

Hope you are all having a good week.

Thanks for looking.

Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - Santa!!

Hurrah!! It's nearly the weekend. Thank Goodness! Does everyone else live for the weekend like me. I just can't wait till I win the lottery. I'm sure it must be any week now!! In the meantime I'll have to confine my crafting to evenings & weekends! This is my card for weeks challenge at Crafts4 Eternity, where we want you to use Michele's fab sketch & include an image of Santa.

This is my favourite Santa stamp from Rubber Stampede. For me he encapsulates perfectly my idea of Father Christmas. A bit like Richard Attenborough in 'Miracle on 34th Street'. He is stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Crimson & embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal Sparkle. The snowfalkes are a mix a Creatables Die, & Martha Stewart &Woodware punches with adhesive pearls & crystals. The papers are Papermania, 'A Silent Night'.

You can see a little better here the twinkle & sparkle of the embossing powder. This weeks challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar is 'Snowflakes'. At Cute Card Thursday, 'Anything Goes'. So I would also like to enter these cards at these challenges.

I hope you will now pop over to the C4E blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers - Old Photo Colours

Tuesday brings another fab Passion for Promarkers challenge chosen by my, oh so lovely, DT colleague Julie (waving!) I had the great pleasure of meeting her at the NEC at the weekend & can I just say she's wonderful! She chose the theme of colours of old photos, namely sepia tones or black, grey & white.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Secret Crafter, & our lucky winner will receive a £10 voucher to spend there.

I've used a Magnolia image I got at the NEC this weekend. I think she will be useful all year long, though I think she is from the latest Xmas collection, I'm not sure.

I've used Basic Grey Cappella papers & the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from one of the new sets from Lili of the Valley. These are going to be soooooo useful. I met lovely Lisa & Laila from LOTV too at the weekend, along with wonderful Bev & awesome Jacqui whose amazing cards made me want to buy every single one!. In my opinion, they had the best stand there.

I want to give a big shout out to all the other amazing crafty ladies I met at the NEC. 'Hello!' Lesley, Jo, Heather, Tab, Kim, Kim, Tara &not forgetting '15 minute Mina'. I'm so sorry if I missed anyone off there. Of course, there was also the wonderful Dena, with whom I went. We had a blast! She was such great company, & my boys absolutely adored her. They cried when she left!

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge. Please pop on over to the PFP blog to see the amazing creations of my D- Teamies. I would also like to enter this into a couple of other challenges. At Just Magnolia this week, 'Anything Goes' & my layout is based on the sketch at Totally Gorjuss this week.

For now though, thanks for looking. Have a great week.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity - Doodling

As you read this I will be heading down the M6 with my wonderful blogging pal Dena. We're off to the NEC& boy are we excited!

We've got another fab challenge for you at Crafts 4 Eternity, starting today. Lovely Michele has designed another great sketch & this week's theme is to include some doodling. I chose this super cute High Hopes image for my card, as in the early hours of Thursday morning Daniel James Everett entered the world, & this card is for him!

I've coloured this with Aqua Markers. I created the frame with a Martha Stewart punch & the papers are very old, from Paper Adventures. The sentiment is a peel off & I added a button from an ages old QVC kit to cover the join in the frame.

So there we go. Please don't look too carefully at the doodling round the edge of the image!!

I hope you'll join in with us at C4E this week & pop on over to see the wonderful creations of my fabulous D-Teamies.

If you're at the NEC today or tomorrow, please stop & say Hello if you see us. I'm so excited I couldn't sleep last night! It was like being a kid again & waiting for Santa!

Thanks so much for looking. Whatever you are up to have a great weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Passion For Promarkers - Lavender, Lace & Pearls!

Whoop Whoop! It's Tuesday & we've got another fab challenge for you at Passion For Promarkers. This week's theme has been chosen by lovely Emma & she has chosen lavender, lace & pearls. You can have so much fun with this!

We are sponsored by the oh so generous Simon Says Stamp this week, & our lucky winner will get a £10 voucher to spend at their store. How fabulous!

I've been itching to ink up one of the wonderful Simply Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie. They're so gorgeous & a dream to colour!

My papers are Basic Grey - Kioshi & the sentiment is by Catslife Press from Crafty Emma's store.

I kept this card simple & let the image do the talking. Don't you just love her eyes!

I also have another card to share with you. I know Halloween has now been & gone, but I thought I'd share with you the card I made for my wonderful hubbie.

You probably recognise the image from Kraftin Kimmie & again it's coloured with Promarkers. The papers are MME Boo To You & the charm is from my stash.

The layout is based on the sketch at Friday Sketchers & Totally Gorjuss are hosting a  Halloween themed challenge this week, so I would like to enter this card in both those challenges.

Sadly life has been getting in the way of my crafting of late, so I apologise for not commenting as much as I would like. I hope to be able to fix that ove the next few days. I will also pop back later to add all the links to this post.

But for now, hope you are all having a good week!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
