Crafts 4 Eternity

It's nearly the weekend & I've got a day off work today, Yippee!! Hence this post is a little late as I'm at my Mum & Dad's & competition toget on the computer is fierce!! I'm not kidding! So finally I am able to show you my card for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity challenge where we have a fab sketch for you, & this week we want you to include a Christmas Tree on your card.

I've used one of my favourite Xmas stamps for this from Whiff of Joy. I just love how cute this is. He or she, she I think, is coloured with Aqua Markers & the papers are MME. The sentiment is Catslife Press & the snowflake behind it is a Creatable die.

I've made this card to fit 3 other challenges too. At Whiff of Joy, the current theme is distressing, I love distressing! A Spoonfull of Sugar wants to see cards with a punch or diecut shape, mine is the snowflake behind the sentiment & the sentiment itself was cut with a punch. Finally Papertake Weekly is looking for cards that are 'sparly & bright'. I was going to use more sparkle than this, but reined myself in. Just adding Viva Decor glitter to the star & baubles & adhesive rhinestones for effect.

So I hope you'll pop over to the C4E blog to see the wonderful inspiration my fellow D-Teamies have been creating this week.

For now, hope you have a good weekend.
Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers - Best Friends!

It's Tuesday & my wonderful D-Teamie Deb has chosen this week's theme at Passion For Promarkers. She wants to see cards featuring friends!

This week's lucky winner will win a choice of either a pack of 5 Promarkers or Aquamarkers, courtesy of Just Tracys' wonderful online store!

I used this fabulous Diane Duda image from Sugar Nellie called Waiting For Santa. They look lke great friends don't they? I bet they do everything together.

I coloured my image with Promarkers & used MME glitter papers. The poinsetta is a Creatable die & the sentiment is Catslife Press from my the lovely Crafty Emma's Store.

If you haven't already done so, please pay a visit to the PFP blog where my lovely D-Teamies have been excelling themselves once again.

I would also like to enter this card into 2 other challenges. I have based my layout on the fab sketch at this week's Friday Sketchers. The theme at Totally Gorjuss is 'sparkle' & I've added lots of magical Xmas glitter to this!

Hope everyone is having a great week. Thanks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity - Halloween!

Spooky going ons at Crafts 4 Eternity! We want you to use our fab sketch on your Halloween themed creations this week.

I chose this Little Mimosa Witch image from Bildmalarna on this card I made for my 3 year old niece, Emma. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are MME - Boo to You. The sentiment is from High Hopes.

I kept very faithful to the sketch with this one. The flower however is made with Marianne Design Creatables & slightly raised with silicone glue.

Please pop over to the C4E blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

There are two other Halloween challenges I would like to enter this into. Stamp with Fun, & A Spoonfull of Sugar are both celebrating all things spooky this week!

Hope you are having a good week. Thanks so much for looking.

Passion For Promarkers - Pink/Purple & White Christmas

Happy Tuesday One & All! My lovely D-Teamie Anja has chosen a great theme for this weeks Passion For Promarkers challenge. She wants to see Xmas cards with a pink & white, or purple & white colour scheme.

Furthermore we are delighted to have Whiff of Joy as our fabulous sponsor, who are offering our lucky winner a choice of any stamp from their wonderful range.

I used Tilda Unwrapping Presents from the 2009 Xmas collection & coloured her with Aqua Markers. I also used the Wedding Swirl for the background. The pink DP is Ocober Afternoon - Very Merry. The sentiment is Catslife Press from lovely Crafty Emma's Store & I used a variety of punches & dies for the snowflakes.

Quite a simple card all in all, but I'm going to enter in several other challenges. The layout uses Dawny's fab sketch at Just Magnolia this week. At the new monthly Quixotic Paperie challenge, the theme is Christmas is Coming. Totally Gorjuss are celebrating their first birthday & revisiting their first challenge, which is Pink!

Please hop on over to the PFP blog to see the stunning creations of my wonderful D-Teamies.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Sugar Bowl meets Bunny Zoe

Here's a card I made for fun. Christmas is fast approaching & I'm in danger of bypassing all my Autumnal stamps. So I had to make time for these challenges. I just love this stamp, indeed the whole kit. But I chose this particular one as it's my favourite & I wanted to use it as a learning curve. The SN design team are so talented & I was trying to give myself a masterclass in colouring with Distress Inks from Elaine. It looks nothing like her fabulous style, but it's good to try & learn & improve yourself.

I've followed Tiet's fabulous sketch at the current Sugar Bowl challenge. I don't usually go for so many layers. I get a bit scared when I have to combine so many papers. However, I simplified it for myself by only using papers from the Cosmo Cricket, Earth Love pad. It's a great sketch for using up scraps!

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts  & the scraps of ribbon were a freebie with my latest Craft Obsessions order. I have to be honest I normally throw them away. Now I'm wishing I hadn't as I love how these scraps looks in lieu of the punched leaves I would normally use. I also added a few adhesive pearls for a touch of shimmer.

This month's challenge at Bunny Zoes Crafts is 'Autumn Love' which fits with the optional autumnal theme at the Sugar Bowl, so I am entering this at both challenges.

Hope everyone's had a great weekend. Thanks so much for looking.

Crafts 4 Eternity #55 - White Christmas!

Oh dear! I scheduled this post for this morning, but put the wrong date in! But no matter, better late than never, I hope you'll agree!

It's time for the new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This weeks recipe is to use the sketch & incorporate the theme 'White Christmas'.

I have to say, I've never made an all white Christmas card before & I really loved the simplicity of it. I used this adorable Bildmalarna stamp called Mimosa lights the way.

She's coloured with Distress Inks & the paper has been embossed with Cuttlebug folders. I pleated the lace with copious amounts of sticky tape & used a fab Viva Glitter Liner from Quixotic Paperie round the edge & on the lantern. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & Hobbycraft.

All told a very simple card to make. So I hope you'll now pop on over to the C4E blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. You'll also see this week's fab prize from our lovely sponsors at Crafty Sentiments.

I would also like to enter this into this week's A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge, where the theme is Winter Wonderland.

It just remains for me to thank you so much for looking. I hope you have a great weekend.

Passion For Promarkers - Halloween Colours!

Yay! It's my turn to choose the theme for this week's challenge at Passion For Promarkers. We're getting close to the spookiest day of the year, so I thought I'd encourage you to create something for Halloween. However, I recognise that Halloween isn't everyone's cup of tea, so instead Halloween is an optional theme on the colour scheme I have chosen of Orange, Black, Purple & Green, or a selection thereof.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is The Craft Garden & the lucky winner, will get a £10 voucher to spend on all their fab goodies!

I've been dying to ink up this brilliant Witchypoo image from Kraftin Kimmie. I just love her. She's coloured with Aqua Markers & the papers are Blackbird by Memory Box. All the flowers, buttons & ribbon are from my stash & the sentiment is computer generated.

All in all this was quite a straight forward card, but boy was she fiddly to cut out!! I do wish we sent more cards at Halloween here in the UK, just because they're such fun!

My layout is based on the fab sketch at Friday Sketchers this week, so I would like to enter my card there. Also Simon Says Stamp &; Kraftin Kimmie both have a Halloween theme.

Thanks so much for looking,

Have a great week.

Crafts 4 Eternity #54 - All That Glitters!

We've got a fab sketch & theme at Crafts 4 Eternity this week. To join in this week you must follow the sketch & add some glitter to your creation.

I have to admit to getting scared when I see alternatively shaped cards. So I overcame my fear & opted for an easel card. Phew, panic over! I finally got round to inking up one of my favourite Sugar Nellie Mangas, Gingerbread.

This little cutie was coloured with Promarkers & the yummy DPs are October Afternon, Very Merry. The snowflakes were made with a Marianne Design Creatable. Love that. The sentiment, BTW is from an Anna Griffin set.

I took an extra side on photo to try & highlight the glitter I ran through her hair on her fur trim & her buttons. I've been very restrained. Usually I go mad with it!

Please hop on over to the Crafts 4 Eternity blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

I would also like to enter this into several other callenges. At Secret Crafters they are looking for easel cards thiis week. A Spoonfull of Sugar wants to see cards with 'sparkle & shine'. Papertake Weekly are celebrating their 3rd birthday - Congratulaions!- you can choose any previous challenge to insire your creation. I chose their Christmas Cracker challenge from last year.

So there you go. Have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for looking.

Sugar Bowl #44 - Lillian's Sketch

Nearly forgot to upload this card. I made it over a week ago & was unhappy with how pink it looked! I was waiting for some kind of inspiration to hit to make a little less so, but it never came, so seeing as the current Sugar Bowl challenge ends tonight I thought I'd just put it on anyway.

I just love this Manga Princess. Am I sad to be jealous of her hair?! I think if you had hair like mine you would understand. Hair envy, it's an affliction I often suffer from, LOL!

This card is testament to the dangers of colouring an image in artificial light. When I looked at it the next day, it just did not go with the papers I had originally planned to use. I ended up rooting through everything I had & finally found a paper from Cherry Arte & an MME freebie. She's coloured with Promarkers & the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can just see the sparkle I added to her dress with glitter.

So there you go. A quickie post tonight. Hope eveyone is having a good week.
Thanks so much for looking!

Passion For Promarkers - Recycling!

Tuesday! Sadly the weekend is still some way off, but YAY! it's time for another fab challenge at Passion For Promarkers. This week my lovely D-Teamie Tracy has chosen this week's theme of recycling.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Pink Gem Designs who are offering this weeks winner any stamp of their choice from their brilliant range.

I used one of my favourite LOTV images for this card. I've been neglecting my LOTV cuties of late. So many stamps, so little time!

My image is coloured with Aqua Markers & the DPs are MME Bloom & Grow. The buttons are made with newspaper. The biggest one was created by gluing layers of paper together. The smaller ones are clear buttons with newspaper stuck behind them. I wanted the buttons to echo the newspaper in the image. The ribbon on the larger one is a hanger loop I cut off a skirt. I have loads of ribbon I've cut off garments. I hate it when they have brand logos on!!

The layout for this challenge is taken from Bev's fab sketch at this fortnight's LOTV challenge, so I would also like to enter this there.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks for looking,
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity #53 - Weather!

Friday! Yippee, the wekend is practically upon us! Time for another fab challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week, along with the sketch we want to see the weather represented on your card, be it sun, wind, rain, snow etc.

I've gone for winter on my card, getting another Xmas card out of the way into the bargain! I've been neglecting my Greeting Farm stamps of late, so I used my favourite, Miss Anya - Snow for this. She's just so elegant & chic. I did not use Xmas papersfor this, instead they are MME, Penny Lane. The circle is a Creatables die cut & the snowflakes are made with a nestie.

All in all, quite a simple card, but I love the colour scheme.

I hope you'll now pop over to the C4E blog to see the gorgeous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. Play along this week & you could win a fab prize.

I would also like to enter this card at A Spoonfull of Sugar, where this week's challenge is Spots & Stripes

Thank You so much for looking, have a great weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
