Divas By Design DT

Good Morning! At Divas By Design this week, we have a challenge

TO DIE FOR

I used this super cute Tilda cuddly her Teddy Bear. I thinks this might just be another of my favourite Tildas. She's coloured with Prismas & the papers are Basic Grey - Plumeria. I used a Spellbinders die for the flower & a Doo Hickey for the leaves.

Please pop on over to the Divas By Design blog to see the fab inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. This week we're thrilled to be sponsored by the wonderful Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

I am also entering this at Stamp with Fun, where I used their fab sketch for my layout.

So that's all from me for today. Hope you're all having a good week.

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafters - Christmas in Spring!

Yippee for the weekend!! It's time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafters! This week my lovely & super talented D-Teamie, Tracie has chosen our theme which is

Christmas In Spring

Join us this week for the last chance of the month to be entered into the draw to win 5 digis of your choice from our fabulous sponsor, The Stamping Boutique .

I've gone for traditional Xmas colours with mine & used Lucia Tilda from the 2010 Christmas collection & coloured her with Distress Inks available at the Secret Crafter shop. My papers are by Papermania & the snowflake is a Marianne Design Creatable - Snowflake 3, available here. I added adhesive gems & finished everything off by embossing the edges with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Embossing Powder.

It feels strange showing a Xmas card at this time of year, & I say this every time. I must start my Xmas cards earlier this year. If I do them now I'll be forced to use up last year Xmas papers instead of being tempted to buy loads more again, which always happens! But then there are so many other images I want to use which I haven't had chance to yet. Better try harder on the lottery tonight & cross those fingers even tighter. I'd just like to win enough to be able to give up work & spend more time crafting, I might even do more house work too. Oh well, one day!
Enough of my dreaming, in the meantime I've got the day to enjoy. Off to play tennis with dear hubbie in 15mins, then Jack has a Tae Kwon Do grading, then me & the boys are going to make muffins. I've given up chocolate for lent, so I have to have alternative vices to support me through this difficult time, LOL! It was either chocolate or wine & giving up wine was never an option!!
So I better get on, if you got this far, thanks for persevering! Thank you all for looking & have a wonderful weekend.
Big Hugs to one & all
Andie xx

Crafts 4 Eternity #29

Fridays is the new day for the Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge, so here is the new sketch & this weeks recipe. This week we want you to
1. Follow the sketch
2. Use fabric
3. Use the colours black & white

I've never coloured an image before, solely in black & white (if you don't include the flower!). I surprised myself with how simple it felt & how pleased I am with the outcome. If I say so myself, it looks better IRL than it does in the photo. I'm feeling inspired now to colour more images like this, or maybe a sepia tone.

There is not much to tell you about this one. The papers are 7 Gypsies & Edwin is coloured with Distress Inks. I'm not just sure when I would ever use this card, so I added a flower rather than a sentiment.

So now you've seen mine, hop on over to Crafts 4 Eternity & let my lovely DT colleagues show you their fabulous creations. They have made some stunning cards.

So the weekend is upon us. Where has the last week gone? I thought I had caught up, but I still feel like I'm not on top of things. I'm on a 2 week training course at work this week, which has been pretty full on, but great fun. I've got another week to go. It was also Jack's birthday on Wednesday. I can't believe my Precious Treasure is seven already! We had to go Lego shopping tonight with his birthday money, so Atlantis Lego rocks right now, LOL!

Anyway, thank you so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Magnolia vs Stampavie - Week 21 Sketch

Had to use this stamp again for my other son's Easter card, otherwise I do not know when I will use it again. I have followed Michelle's lovely sketch over at Magnolia vs Stampavie this week. I loved the idea of the eyelets & ribbon along the bottom, but had to adapt mine as I had
eyelets of the right colour. There is obviously a gap in my stash that needs to be filled. Yippee! an excuse to spend, LOL!
FYI, the DPs are Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls & the ribbon from Laura Ashley. I used a Dimension Fourth stamp to make the swirl & glued on embroidery thread for added texture, with Papermania adhesive stones to accent.
Will not get much chance to craft over Easter as we are going over to my parents. However I am taking some images & my Distress Inks so hopefully I will still be able to get my fix!
Happy Easter one & all
Regards,
Andrea xx

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Mother's Day

I can't believe I have not posted anything since Monday, it does not feel that long. How time flies when you are having so much fun at work, NOT! But yippee it is now the weekend & a very special one, when Mothers get the credit we deserve & hopefully a little pampering! Having said that I am married to the most wonderful man who has had to work every hour God sends this week & if anyone deserves a rest it is him! I made this card for his Mum, & am also entering it for this weeks Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge. This Tilda is from the Valentines collection, but is ideal for any occasion when you want to show someone how much you love them.
FYI, the DPs are Melissa Frances & the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.
Hope you are having a FAB weekend!

Andrea xx

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Week 17, Carla's Sketch!

Here's Cross Stitch Tilda come to play at Magnolia vs Stampavie this week. Carla's sketch was fun. This card puts me in the mood for Spring & given the weather here in Manchester today, perhaps it is not too far away. But with Spring comes gardening, which I actually enjoy, but will seriously impede on my crafting time - there are not enough hours in the day as it is. Oh, well, some weeds are actually quite attractive, looks like there will be plenty in my garden this year, LOL!
FYI, I coloured the image with Distress Inks & the papers are by Melissa Frances. I got a 10m reel of the raffia lace from Hobbycraft, so expect to see it a lot more! The little blossoms are from Crimson Crafts, highlighted with Stickles.
Hope you are all having a great week. Thanks for looking.

Feel the Sketch - Magnolia Vs Stampavie

Had fully intended to get this posted earlier for the wonderful sketch challenge over at Magnolia Vs Stampavie this week, but better late than never!! Love this sketch & will use it time & again I am sure. Tilda is supposed to be holding a cowberry muffin, what is a cowberry? I'm not sure it sounds very tasty, but hey, I've never been known to turn down a muffin, so I'm willing to give it a try, LOL! I have never used beads on a card before & trawled round Hobbycraft trying to find the best way of fixing it to the card. I'm not sure this is the best! The papers are blush from Basic Grey.
Thanks for looking,
Andrea
