Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Thank Goodness for the weekend, Hurrah! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. This week, lovely Helen has chosen a most appropriate theme, given we are in the grip of Olympic fever,

GOLD, SILVER OR BRONZE

This seemed like a perfect opportunity to get another Xmas card under my belt. How cute is this new LOTV stamp. He's called 'Delivering the Presents'. I coloured him with Distress Inks & the papers are Memory Box. The snowflake is a Marianne die.

This week we welcome back our regular sponsor, The Digi Doodle Shop.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies.

I'm hoping there's enough 'Sparkle & Shine' to qualify this for entry at Bearly Mine Designs challenge.

At 'Papertake Weekly' & Creative Inspirations, 'Anything Goes' this week.

I'm also joining in the Bingo at Simon Says Stamp, where I've used gems & the gold lace.

So there you go! I have to admit that everything is playing second fiddle to the Olympics at the moment. OMG, it's just fabulous. Lots of amazing sporting action. All the participants are fantastic, but Team GB are all doing us proud. It's been such a success. What am I going to do when it's all over? Well the Premiership starts again next weekend. That will have to do. Come on the Toffees!

I also have to thank the lovely ladies at The Craft Barn. I won a £10 voucher to spend there at Sketch Saturday last week. It took me ages to decide what to spend it on, given the wealth of fabulous goodies available at their online store.

Whatever you are up to this weekend. Enjoy the last of the Olympics & the good weather. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Good Morning Peeps! Apologies for posting this a little late. I'm at my paprents house at the mo & have had a few issues with internet access. Anyhoo, onto our new challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge this week, where the wonderful Francesca has chosen our theme of

BRIGHT & CHEERFUL

I had a blast colouring this Saturated Canary beauty & kind of confused 'cheerful' with colourful, but I think that's OK! She's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are Basic Grey - Sugar Rush. The flower was created with a Spellbinders die.

I hope you'll hop on over to the Secret Crafter's blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. Looks like they had fun with this challenge too. This week our lucky winner will get a $15 voucher to spend at Heather's Hobbie Haven's lovely online store.

I would also like to enter this at Crafting Life's Pieces where I used their fab sketch for my layout.

At Simon Says Stamp, 'Anything Goes'.

So there you go. Did anyone else manage to sit through the Olympics opening ceremony last night. It did look fantastic on TV, especially the Daniel Craig part!! Here's hoping Mark Cavendish can win gold today. Not sure I will be watching the 6 & a half hour road race in it's entirety, but I'll certainly be willing him to victory!

That's all for now though. Thanks so much for looking. Have a great weekend.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

OLYMPICS or SPORTY

My son Jack, had to do a project about the
Olympics & it's history last term. The ancient Olympics & the torch lighting ceremony inpired my card. I used Aphrodite from Tickled Pink. She's coloured with Promarkers & the papers are Prima - Natures Garden.

Have you heard? the weather is supposed tobe nice this weekend, hot even & the sun is shining. Whatever you are up to I hope you are able to make the most of it. I'll probably gardening. With a ll this rain the back garden has gotten a bit out of hand! It looks terrible, I don't know where to start. So that's where I'll be anyway!

Whatever you are up to. Have a great weekend.

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT & a plea for Billie Butterfly.

Phew I made it to the weekend. The days in between just seem to get harder, but it's always a pleasure to create for Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge & this week we have another fab theme for you,

IN THE GARDEN

This little Belles & Whistles cutie is coloured with Distress Inks & I used ages old MME Wild Asparagus papers. The flowers were created with a Tim Holtz die & the leaves made with A Doo Hickey & McGill punch. I'm into photo corners too just now & used a Martha Stewart punch for mine.

I hope you'll check out the fab inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies on the Secret Crafter's Blog. This week we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, who are offering our winner 3 digi stamps

I am also entering this at Papertake Weekly, where the theme is also ' In the Garden'.

At this month's Bunny Zoes challenge, 'Anything Goes'.

I hope you are still with me as I want to make plea for your help & support. Tomorrow I am running the Manchester 10K to raise money for Brain Tumour UK. I've been inspired by the story of Billie Bainbridge, the gorgeous 5 year old niece of a good friend of ours.

She suffers from an inoperable brain tumour. You can read more about the story of this beautiful & brave little girl here.

Brain Tumour UK work to provide support for sufferers & their families, fund vital research into finding an effective treatment & raise awareness.

I am not a natural runner & it would be a massive boost to know that anyone out there is supporting me with a donation as I pound the streets. More importantly this charity does important work & perhaps gets overshadowed by bigger & more popular charities, so any money you can spare would be most gratefully received. Please donate, whatever you can via Billie's blog or at Brain Tumour UK.

Thank you so much for reading this & for any kind of your support you can offer. I really appreciate it.

Big Hugs to one & all.

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Way-Hay for Saturday once more & time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge, chosen this week by the uber talented Franz, who has chosen the theme

I LOVE YOU MUM!

Every time a new Magnolia collection comes out, I limit myself to buying just one. This time around Tilda with Winding Flowers was the stand out one for me. She's coloured with Distress Inks & the papers are Prima - Botanical. The butterfly was created with a Marianne Design die & the border that doesn't show up very well is a Doo Hickey. I also added tiny amounts of Liquid Pearls amongst the flowers for a bit of texture.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the wonderful creations of my fellow D-Teamies. This week our fabulous sponsor is The Digi Doodle Shop & our lucky winner will get a $10 voucher to spend there.

I would also like to enter this at Stamp with Fun this week. I have used their wonderful sketch for my layout.

At Truly Scrumptious this fortnight, 'Anything Goes'.

At Totally Gorjuss the theme is 'Pink & Green'.

So what are your plans for the weekend? Today will mostly be spent doing chores :~( Then tomorrow everything will start getting a bit tense & stressful around 3 o'clock. Understandably given we live in Manchester, football will be dominating our activities. Can QPR cause Man City to slip up to allow United to win the Premiership? I'll be more concerned with the battle for 7th place. Can Everton stay ahead of Liverpool? Come on the Toffees!!

So there you go. That's it from me for now. Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Hurrah for my favourite day of the week! Time for another fab challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. Gorgeous Bridget has chosen our theme this week. We want your creations to be

CUTE 'N' FLUFFY

I used this super cute Potting Shed image from LOTV. It was going to be a more feminine card, but once coloured I went for a masculine look.  In the end, I'm not really sure which way this swings. So I left the embellishment rather sparse until I decide who I''m going to give this to. The papers are by We R Memory Keepers & were a freebie with a magazine.

I hope you'll now check out the wonderful creations of my awesome D-Teamies at the Secret Crafter's blog. We are sponsored this week by Heather's Hobby Haven. Our lucky winner will receive a $15 voucher to spend on all the goodies there!

I am also entering this at Papertake Weekly when Dawnie has created another fab sketch, which I used for my layout.

At Creative Inspirations & Simon Says Stamp this week, 'Anything Goes'.

At Cute Card Thursday, the theme is 'Animal Magic'

So has anyone got anything exciting planned for the weekend? Just a quiet one for me & the boys whilst Paul's off largin' it on a friend's stag do in Leeds. He'll come back on Sunday complaining about feeling 'broken' no doubt, & these days it takes him a few days to recover! I'm not sure how long it takes me as I never get the chance to test my stamina, LOL!

Whatever you are up to. I hope you have great weekend.

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Whoop-de-Whoop for the weekend! Time for another Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge, chosen this week by my good self! This week we want to see you creating cards,

INSPIRED BY A FILM TITLE

My card is inspred by the Disney film, Princess & the Frog, though I have to confess to not having actually seen it. That's the problem when you have boys, they tend not to want to see girly films. This is actually a Tiddly Inks image called Kiss Me. She's coloured with Prismas & the papers are Prima - Jack & Jill.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. We are sponsored this week by the lovely people at The Stamping Boutique.

That's it for me for now. Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks so much for looking.

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Good Morning & a Happy Weekend one & all. Time for another challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. This week's theme came at a perfect time for me as today is my elder son, Jack, 9th birthday. Where did the time go? Wendy, the original Secret Crafter herself chose our theme to make

A MASCULINE CARD

I wanted this to perfect for my 'big man' & I dusted of my Promarkers to make the Kenny K Soccer digi nice & bright. Jack's an avid Man U fan (where did I go wrong?!). He has a United shirt with Jacko on the back, hence the name down the side. The papers are old Fancy Pants - My Family. I added silver mirri card for the stars, but it's hard to tell in these photos. I've just noticed a bit of tut in the photos too, that's annoyed me, but at least it's not there IRL.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's blog to see the fabulous inspiration of my fellow D-Teamies. We're also sponsored by the wonderful people at the Digi Doodle Shop. Check out their fab images, here,

So that's all from me for now. has anyone got any good tips for the Grand National? I hope you'll all be cheering on Everton in the Merseyside FA Cup semi final - COME ON THE TOFFEES!! If we don't win I'll have to console myself with birthday cake for tea! Whatever you are up to, have a great weekend!

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Whoop Whoop! Not only am I on time for the Secret Crafter's  Saturday Challenge this week, but I've even done two cards, albeit very similar ones. Our theme this week is quite simply, to make a card for

EASTER

These are the cards I made for my boys for Easter. Ben's is made with MME - Fine & Dandy papers & Jack's with Prima - Fairy Flora. I cut their names with a Tim Holtz Alterations die.

The image is from our sponsor this week, the fabulous Digi Darla Designs. The Easter bunny is working hard carting his eggs about!

The image is coloured with Prismas & I added glitter pen to the eggs to give a touch of sparkle.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the fabulous designs of my wonderful D-Teamies. As I mentions we are sponsored this week, by the fabulous Digi Darla Designs. Our lucky winner will win a wonderful prize from them.

I am entering this at Papertake Weekly, where this week, 'Anything Goes'.

At Creative Inspirations, they are also celebrating Easter.

It's funny, the boys have given up any pretence of still believing in the Easter bunny. Santa is still safe though! They expect the chocolate to appear on Sunday, but I can't persuade them to be good by threatening them with the prospect of the Easter bunny bypassing our house any longer!

Well that's all for now. I hope you all have a Happy Easter.

Thanks so much for looking.
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

Goodness, I'm late again, but hopefully now things have settled down & normal service can be resumed. This is my card for the new challenge at Secret Crafter's, where lovely Tracie has set our theme for this week. She wants to see you getting in shape for Spring & create

SHAPED CARDS

I struggle with shaped cards as I don't have any large dies that are suitable, so I compromised with a step card & I cut the image with a Spellbinders die. This little sweetie is from the new Bildmalarna release, she's just adorable. She's coloured with Prismas & I added a sentiment from Tina Wenke for Stampavie.

If you haven't already been, get yourself on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog to see the fab creations of my fellow D-Teamies. This week we're thrilled to have Lili of the Valley as our sponsor & our lucky winner will get a £10 voucher to spend there. Have you seen their new release. They're all just fabulous. I can't wait to get mine inked up!

I am entering this at Simon Says Stamp, where this week, Anything Goes.

So it's looking like another lovely day here in Manchester. We're taking the boys to Clitheroe today to stay with my Mum & Dad for the Easter hols while Paul & I have to work :#( But the boys love it & are soooooo excited! Right now they've gotten so giddy & noisy I can't wait to take them, but I know I'll miss them so much till we go back to Clitheroe on Friday.

Well there we go for now. Thanks so much for looking. Whatever you are up to, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks so much for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge DT

It's the weekend. The days of the week I live for! Especially as it time for another challenge at Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge. This week it's lovely Linda's turn to choose our theme & she wants to see cards where there is

NO IMAGE, JUST WORDS

I don't mind admitting I felt a little daunted by this one, especially as choosing & colouring an image are what I enjoy most about cardmaking. But I kind of like how this turned out. As my Stempelglede quote is from Thoreau & wanted to the rest of my card to reflect a love of nature. The papers are Bo Bunny - Gabrielle & the flowers were cut with a Tim Hotlz Alterations die.

I hope you'll now pop on over to the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge blog, where my fabulous D-Teamies have some wonderful inspiration for you. We are thrilled to be sponsored by the Digi Doodle Shop. Our lucky winner, this week will receive a $10 voucher to spend there.

I would also like to enter this at Allsorts Challenge, where they want you to 'Say it with Flowers'.
Well, that's all from me for now. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Thanks for looking.

Big Hugs,
Andie xx
