Secret Crafters- Stitching

Good Morning & a Happy Saturday one & all. Big YAY! for the weekend!  It's time for another Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge & this week my fabulous D-Teamie Bea has chosen the theme of

STITCHING

This could be real or faux. I needed to make a birthday card for my son, Jack's 8th birhtday this week & I wasn't sure where to go with the stitching as I did not have time to make an alternative DT card. So the stitching & the whole look of the card is quite simple. But hey, I've put sewing on a male card & I think it looks quite effective when you're stuck for embellishments. I even sewed the buttons on, but you'll have to take my word for that!

So there is not much to say about this. This is a Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy guy, coloured with Distress Inks available at the Secret Crafters shop, here.  My hubbie thought he would make a good card for an 8 year old. When Jack opened it, we said it was a picture of him, but he said he looks too tall! How can he tell? He could be looking up at a door handle or something for all he knows!! The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley & the papers are Cosmo Cricket- Everafter. I've had them a while, so go me for using up old stash!!

I hope you'll now hop on over to the Secret Crafters blog to see the fabulous creations of my fellow D-Teamies. They are awesome!

I would also like to enter this at Stamp with Fun this week as I used their sketch for my layout.

Simon Says Stamp also want to see see  a 'Card for a Child' & while I can't decide in my own mind how old this boy looks, since I made it for my own son, I'm entering it there too!

Thanks so much for looking,
Big Hugs,
Andie xx

Now this is the kind of stitching I reckon I could manage! I actually bought a baby sewing machine recently but I can't work out how to thread it up! Duh! Lovely card, Andie! Hugs, Lesley
